Kamala Harris compares Trump to Hitler and calls him a ‘fascist’ in three-minute plea to America
Kamala Harris used the power of the vice presidential residence on Wednesday to launch a scathing attack on her Republican rival Donald Trump, warning that he would be another Adolf Hitler if he wins a second term in the White House .
Standing outside her home near the US Naval Observatory, Harris quoted an interview Trump’s former chief of staff John Kelly gave to the New York Times in which he said Trump often spoke admirably about Hitler when he was in the White House .
“It is deeply disturbing and incredibly dangerous that Donald Trump is invoking Adolf Hitler – the man responsible for the deaths of six million Jews,” Harris said.
“Donald Trump is becoming increasingly unhinged and unstable, and in a second term people like John Kelly would no longer be there to serve as a guard against his tendencies and his actions,” she added.
“So the bottom line is we know what Donald Trump wants. He wants unchecked power. In thirteen days the question will be: What do the American people want?’
Kamala Harris indicated that Donald Trump would behave like a dictator if he won in November
Harris and her surrogates have stepped up their attacks on Trump as the election approaches and polls show the race is virtually tied.
Wednesday’s attack was Harris’s most direct and bold attack yet, essentially charging that Trump would turn the country into a police state if he won the November election.
Her speech came thirteen days before the elections. The Vice Presidential Residence of the Naval Observatory is rarely used as a setting for political events.
“This is a window into who Donald Trump really is, from the people who know him best, from the people who have worked side by side with him in the Oval Office, in the Situation Room, and from the words of John Kelly Clearly Donald Trump is someone I quote who certainly falls within the general definition of a fascist,” Harris said.
Trump’s comments have been reported before, but mostly by anonymous sources, given that protection, so the former president did not focus on them.
But now Kelly made his concerns known.
Kelly, who served on Trump’s staff from 2017 to 2019, told the New York Times that Trump meets the “definition of fascist” and claimed the former president has no understanding of American history or the Constitution.
Kelly, 74, claimed that Trump once said that “Hitler did some good things” and praised the Nazi dictator for “rebuilding the economy.” Kelly said it too The Atlantic Ocean On Tuesday, Trump said he wanted his staff to be more like “German generals in World War II” because they were “completely loyal” to Hitler.
Additionally, the retired Marine veteran doubled down on previous claims that Trump labeled U.S. service members who died or were injured as “suckers and losers,” adding that the ex-president “may be the only American citizen who feels that way about those who gave them money.” lives or served their country’.
A Trump campaign spokesman responded to Kelly’s claims in a statement to The Times, saying the former political adviser “has completely outed himself with these debunked stories that he has fabricated.”

Harris used that interview to advance her case as the next president. Kelly has not supported her candidacy.
Her comments were short – only about three minutes – but to the point.
“Donald Trump’s former chief of staff, John Kelly, a retired four-star general, confirmed that the wild Donald Trump was president, saying he wanted generals like Adolf Hitler,” she said.
“Donald Trump said that because he doesn’t want a military that is loyal to the US Constitution. He wants an army that will remain loyal to him. He wants an army that will be personally loyal to him. One that we will obey his orders even if he tells them to break the law or take their oath to the Constitution of the United States,” she added.
“Over the past week, Donald Trump has repeatedly called his fellow Americans the enemy from within — even saying he would use the U.S. military to go after American citizens. And let’s be clear about who he considers the enemy from within: anyone who refuses to bend a knee or dare to criticize him,” she said.
