Kamala Harris is brutally roasted after bringing back very classic catchphrase
Social media was poised to pounce when Kamala Harris repeated one of her most famous quotes during a campaign speech on Monday.
The Vice President is often both praised and ridiculed for her idiosyncratic manner of speaking, often giving answers so lame that they are confusing to the general public, and often causing her to laugh uncomfortably.
On Monday in Pittsburgh, Harris repeated a famous line of hers when she said, “We have dreams. We can see what’s possible without being burdened by what has been.”
Harris initially made an odd comment when she spoke about what the word innovation meant to her during a March 2023 speech during a trip to Ghana.
People online – both for and against Harris – acted as if she was performing one of her biggest hits again.

Several people have pointed to a famous episode of The Simpsons in which Bart Simpson becomes famous for repeating a lame catchphrase and is begged by bystanders to “say the line.”
Another used the famous Leonardo DiCaprio pointing to the TV meme in the Quentin Tarantino film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
One poster hoped she would address other famous gaffes from her years in public office, including her infamous remarks “Do you think you fell out of a coconut tree?” and “We did it, Joe!”
A Trump campaign report was much more direct in its assessment of the speech.
‘Kamala becomes confused and falls into her favorite clichéd line: ‘We can see what is possible, without being guided by what has been!”
The origin of this phrase lies in a speech I gave in Ghana almost a year and a half ago.
In her speech to young people, she explained that innovation is “the ability not just to see, but to do things differently” and “challenging assumptions, questioning the status quo and thinking boldly.” Her personal slogan is also “pursuing what can be freed from the burden of what has been.”
Harris has a unique style: she simplifies her answers to the point that they only become more confusing to the general public, often causing her to laugh uncomfortably.

Sometimes Harris dodges a question by stating the topic in clear terms, but does not give a clear answer, leaving the audience and presenters confused.
And she does so in her trademark ‘word salad’ style, which often makes her answers even more complicated.
One of Harris’s most confusing outbursts came when he burst out laughing after uttering the phrase, “Do you think you just fell out of a coconut tree?” during a speech about equality and progress for Latinos.
She seemed to be trying to explain that we need to focus on the wider community, adding that ‘nothing exists in isolation’.
After a clip of the speech went viral earlier this year, it became a popular internet meme widely spread by her followers, who are informally known as the “K-hive.”
A member of ‘K-hive’ wrote: ‘To everyone who thinks it shouldn’t be Kamala Harris: you do realize a new candidate can’t just fall out of a coconut tree, right?’
Earlier Monday, Harris faced criticism from people who claimed the vice presidential candidate used a “fake accent” while speaking to a teachers union during a campaign rally in Michigan on Monday.
Accusations abounded on social media that the Democratic presidential candidate changed her voice during her speech praising teachers’ union members at a Detroit high school.
Harris has previously been accused of using a different accent and has faced ridicule, and these allegations are now coming out, just two months before Election Day.

“The new Kamala accent just came out,” one X user wrote in response to a clip of Harris speaking to a teachers union at a Detroit, Michigan high school on Monday.
Social media users allege in her comments that Harris adopted an urban accent to connect with the working class.
Harris is traveling around the country as she prepares for her first debate with Donald Trump on September 10 in Philadelphia.
