A Democratic insider admits that the real reason Kamala Harris never spoke to Joe Rogan is because it would have upset her progressive staffers.
Donald Trump’s appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience was a big hit is credited for his ability to do that convince young voters.
When Rogan asked Kamala Harris to join him on the podcast, he revealed that she “just wanted to do an hour,” and ultimately declined to appear due to scheduling conflicts.
Jennifer Palmieri, a liberal strategist and former senior adviser to Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff, said it would have upset her far-left campaign staff.
“There was a backlash from some of our progressive staff who didn’t want her to be there, and how there was going to be a backlash,” she said.

Meanwhile, Rogan himself continues to comment on the controversy, revealing things Harris refused to discuss.
“They had, I don’t know how many conversations with my parents, but multiple conversations with different dates, different times, different this, different that, and we knew she was going to be in Texas, so I said ‘open invitation,'” said he.
“I think they made demands on things that she didn’t want to talk about, she didn’t want to talk about the legalization of marijuana, which I thought was hilarious.”

During a 2020 conversation with comedian Jimmy Dore on The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan said he had “always” been a progressive voter.
He told Dore: ‘I have never voted right in my life. Never. Never. I voted Democrat.”
However, Sanders’ appearance on the show drew massive backlash from Democrats and it appears the podcast has remained a no-go zone for liberals.
Palmieri also blamed media coverage of the negotiations for creating a “weird dynamic.”

“Because he’s suddenly aware of how his audience is going to react to this, and the demands they’re going to make on him to be strict with her,” she said Financial times.
The censure is now clearly seen as a key element of Harris’ flop campaign, losing access to Rogan’s massive listenership.
Rogan specifically mentioned his fondness for Bernie Sanders and Tulsi Gabbard — as she was a Democrat before supporting Donald Trump — but he did point out the one exception to his pattern.
He said, ‘Except [voting] Independent. I voted for Gary Johnson because he created my podcast.”
This one-off comment points to why Harris refusing to be on Rogan’s show may have cost her his vote and, even more influential, his approval.
During the Rogan-Dore episode, Dore mentioned an unnamed senior Democrat who didn’t want to appear on his podcast because their “career would be over.” Rogan suspected he was referring to Harris.
Dore laughed, but neither confirmed nor denied the claim.
Rogan interjected and said, “They all keep asking to be on my show, I have requests from all of them.”

The podcaster named Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren and “Mayor Pete” Buttigieg as some of the top politicians who asked to be on his show, but he turned them down.
Rogan, who previously expressed his distaste for Donald Trump, apparently made a 180-degree turn by endorsing the candidate just before the presidential election.
The podcaster claimed in 2022: “I am in no way a Trump supporter.
“I don’t want to help him, I’m not interested in helping him.”
Two years later, Rogan’s views took a shocking turn when he welcomed the Republican nominee to his show after rampant fan speculation.
He publicly endorsed the president-elect after a conversation with Elon Musk.
“If it wasn’t for him (Musk) we would be crazy,” Rogan wrote on X just hours before the polls opened.
“He makes, in my opinion, the most compelling case for Trump you will hear, and I agree with him every step of the way.

‘For the record: yes, that is an expression of support for Trump. Enjoy the podcast’.
He sat through a three-hour interview with Trump and tried to do the same with Harris.
But Rogan revealed that scheduling issues and conflicts over how long and where the interview would take place ultimately prevented it from happening.
He explained that he hoped to use the interview as a way to get to know the candidates better.
Rogan said, “My whole goal with her and with him is just to talk. Just have a conversation like a human. You discover things about people. At least you get an idea of it.’
The Joe Rogan Experience is Spotify’s most popular podcast, with more than 14 million subscribers. Rogan also has nearly 18 million YouTube followers and his videos routinely receive millions of views.
An unidentified Arizona State University student told MSNBC’s Gadi Schwartz that the VP’s refusal to appear on the popular show ultimately determined his vote.
“We’ve actually heard a lot of talk about the Rogan podcast,” Schwartz said. ‘A while ago we were talking to two guys.

“One of them said he had doubts: when Kamala didn’t go on the Joe Rogan podcast, which affected his vote, he ended up voting for Trump.
He said he was open to listening to Kamala on the podcast and if she didn’t, not necessarily all the problems. She didn’t seem like a real person because she couldn’t talk for a long time. ‘
