Kalvin Phillips is open to a new experience at Juventus in Serie A.
The 28-year-old will leave Manchester City next month as he looks to regain the regular playing time he has craved since his move from Leeds United.
Although official talks have yet to begin, the Italians are making the first step to sign him. Their budget is limited, so that means they want a loan, but that suits Phillips.
He wants the opportunity to play in another top league so he can add extra qualities to his game and re-establish himself in Gareth Southgate's England plans ahead of the European Championship.
Newcastle United and more than a dozen other English and European clubs are said to have shown interest, but the chance to play in Turin under Massimo Allegri is appealing.
