Kaley shared several photos from King’s life, including a photo with Matilda and a photo of King hanging out with the couple’s other dogs, Miss Opal, Ruby, Blueberry, Larry, Red and Shirley.

Kaley added, “We didn’t have him nearly enough. What started as a 5-pound, skinny, no-water-drinking, furless, scared dog turned into a chubby, hilarious, side-plopping, eye-kissing part of our family.

“The hardest part about adopting seniors with medical issues is that we really don’t know how long we have left. All I know is that Kingy has given us the most joy over the past year and a half and we couldn’t love him more.

“To everyone who helped with Kingy’s journey along the way, thank you. I urge you to save your next best friend. He left his footprint in the hearts of our family forever.”

Over the summer, King underwent emergency surgery to remove a foxtail from his intestines, which would kill him for hours.

At the time, the Oh Norman founder shared a dire warning to “all my dog lovers out there” on her Instagram Stories.

“This is a foxtail,” she wrote over an image of the plant resting on her leg.

‘They are extremely dangerous to animals, especially dogs. We have spent the past two months trying to figure out what was wrong with our king,” she continued.

“He had been seriously ill and nothing helped,” she continued. ‘Lots of vet visits, operations and endless medications. Finally found a specialist who found two in his body, just days before he had his heart pierced!!’

“He’s doing so much better, but as you can see he has a lot of stitches after super intense surgery…,” she captioned the photo.

‘Also keep in mind that these will need to be surgically removed. They don’t heal on their own!’

‘Take care of your pets, or have none!’ she wrote. “We are so grateful that he is doing well and will live a long and happy life,” she wrote.

In a post for her company Oh Norman, Cuoco introduced King, calling him “From Rescue to Royalty, the one and only King Cuoco-Pelphrey.”
