Kaley Cuoco jokes about ‘strangling’ woman who judged her parenting during daughter’s first flight: ‘I could have thrown that woman off the plane!’

Kaley Cuoco revealed that her nine-month-old daughter Matilda’s first flight was not without its problems.

The Big Bang Theory star, 38, discussed flying with her baby — who she shares with partner Tom Pelphrey — over Thanksgiving while appearing on Monday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

Cuoco revealed that she and Tom brought a sound machine on the plane to put their child to sleep, but it ended up disturbing a female passenger, who asked them to turn it off.

‘I was so scared. So I thought, “What do we do? We have to get her sound machine on the plane.” It’s the only thing she can go to sleep with,” she told Kimmel.

“So she’s crying. It was difficult. She finally falls asleep and she’s sitting on Tom and the sound machine is on and we were finally like (sigh).”

“The steward comes over and says, ‘Hey, one of our passengers would love it if you turned off the sound machine.’ And I’m sitting there, and I’m like, ‘Oh my God.'”

“And I feel Tom saying, ‘Hey, ask the passenger to hold our screaming kid while we turn it off.’ And I mean, the ice ran in his veins.”

“By the way, I couldn’t believe she asked us to turn it off!” she added.

‘We were so angry. So then we landed, and it was the woman right in front of us. And so we get up and she says, “Oh, so your daughter sure knows how to smile.”

“It was at that moment that I understood why women end up on Dateline,” she said hilariously.

Kaley then added, “I could have thrown that woman out of the plane.”

She also said it was unfair that people had so little compassion for babies on planes.

“You see all these things on social media where people get really mad at these babies. Like: justice for babies! This is ridiculous… leave them alone!’ she shared.

Elsewhere in the show, Kaley revealed that baby Matilda was watching the first season of Succession while discussing another flying anecdote.

Kaley described being on a plane and sitting next to a couple with a six-month-old baby.

‘I knew our flight was coming. I thought, “Oh, my God. How are you going to do this?” …I said, ‘Are you going to watch some TV, turn on some TV for the kid?'”

‘She said, “Oh no. We don’t allow TV for our child yet.” And I was like, Matilda just watched the first season of Succession last week,” Kaley said as Jimmy burst out laughing.

‘I thought: OK, shouldn’t we do that? I do not understand. I’m not joking. We saw the final.’

Kaley joked that Matilda was “really shocked by the finale” of the HBO drama.

“I told her the show was over, she was crying,” Kaley said. “I think I do everything exactly the opposite of what people do.”

She also shared that her daughter has an iPad: “She watches everything. I have no shame. As long as she doesn’t cry.’

Jimmy joked that Kaley made a lot of parents feel good about what they do.

‘One or the other, we’ll see. Lots of judgement. Stop judging the mothers out there. Come on guys. Let them watch Succession,” Kaley said.

Cuoco and Pelphrey first confirmed their relationship in May 2022, with the couple announcing they were expecting their first child in October. They welcomed Matilda on March 30.

Kaley has been married twice before, first to actor Ryan Sweeting from 2013 to 2016 and then to equestrian Karl Cook from 2018 until their divorce last year.
