“And he said things to her that he just said to me . . . three days ago.”

Though never seen in William Shakespeare’s 1597 tragedy, Rosaline’s rejection of Romeo (because she was sworn to chastity) is what causes his depression and leads him to Juliet.

“So you’re going to take them apart?” asks nurse flat.

Rosaline replies: ‘Of course I am. Romeo and Juliet, it doesn’t even sound right.’

After sister bluntly asks, “So you’re going to take them apart?” Rosaline replies: ‘Of course I am. Romeo and Juliet, it doesn’t even sound right.’

Rosaline then enlists her boyfriend Dario (Sean Teale), who does not appear in the Italian play, to help “stop a wedding.”

“Juliet, why settle down with one man when you can taste the buffet of life?” she asks shyly.

Then Rosaline sees Juliet being taken to a pub and the villagers go wild after she asks, ‘Who wants to buy us a drink?’

But Juliet catches her plan and exclaims, “All this time you just wanted to steal my boyfriend!”

Rosaline jokes: ‘I tried to steal it back! There is a difference.’

She is then seen talking to Paris (Spencer Stevenson), who wants to marry Juliet, asking if “all this drama adds to the attraction.”

The preview also shows Juliet confessing her plan to fake her death by bringing a magic potion to her cousin.

“That might be the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard in my life,” Rosaline sneers.
