Kaitlin Olson responded with humor to a relationship rumor on Monday after it was falsely alleged that her husband Rob McElhenney was cheating on her in Wales.
The 47-year-old actress took to Twitter to share a link from a gossip blog that posted the cheating allegation, writing: “It was I who had the affair. But it wasn’t with someone from Wales.’
“It was with a whale. I’ve always loved whales. They are the bosses of the ocean and I am drawn to power. We ask for privacy as we navigate this difficult time,” Kaitlin added along with a whale emoji for her approximately 608,000 followers.
Rob, 46, also responded to the rumor on Twitter to his approximately 1.1 million followers.
“Sad to admit the rumor is true,” he posted along with a red broken heart emoji.

Rob became co-owner of Welsh football club Wrexham AFC in September 2020 with Ryan Reynolds, 46.
They are executive producers of the FX sports documentary series Welcome To Wrexham covering their ownership of the team.
Rob plays Ronald “Mac” McDonald in the comedy It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, while Kaitlin plays Deandra “Sweet Dee” Reynolds in the FX comedy series.
Season 16 of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia premiered June 7 on FXX
