The 17-year-old girl who stole the show at the Republican Party Convention watched her father speak to guests and talked about her desire to talk about her grandfather Donald Trump.

“A lot of people put my grandpa through hell, and he’s still standing,” she told thousands of cheering GOP delegates. “Grandpa, you’re such an inspiration, and I love you.”

Kai’s father beamed with pride as she praised the side of President Trump that “people don’t see very often.”

However, Donald Trump Jr. caused a stir after he called his teenage daughter Kai “sexy” in a social media post.

The former First Son made the comments as he and Kai prepared for the Republican Party Convention earlier this week.

“Thank you Kai, I’m glad you think I look beautiful,” Don Jr. replies, grinning widely.

“I don’t do this very often, but in HD you can do it better,” he adds as a makeup artist finishes his look.

“I’m just excited about Kai’s first speech, where she picked a really big location to come to. She’s going to crush it – I love you Kai.”

His daughter replies that she loves him too, like a make-up artist applying her lipstick.

But the clip, which has now been viewed millions of times, has drawn widespread criticism.

“We really don’t want to call our daughters sexy, I hope this helps,” one person wrote.
