Adult film actress and exotic dancer Kagney Linn Karter, 36, has died by suicide.
The porn star allegedly committed suicide in her home, a spokesperson said GoFundMe page set up by her friends on behalf of Kagney’s mother to raise money for the funeral.
“Unfortunately, despite all of her impressive achievements and talents, Kagney has struggled with mental health issues over the years,” her friends Rachel and Megan said.
“However, even in her darkest days, she still came to the studio, always willing to learn, contribute and better herself in whatever small way she could.”

“As alone as she undoubtedly felt within the confines of her own mind, she continued to make efforts to stand up for her friends and the community that cared about her. “She fought her own battle with the same tenacity and drive she showed in every other area of her life, with as much strength as she could,” they said.
Karter entered the porn industry in the early 2000s, starring in films such as the Official Silence of the Lambs Parody and Not Married with Children XXX.
The star has been nominated for Adult Video News awards several times, although she has not won. She was nominated for top female artist of the year in 2011. In 2010 she was nominated as Best New Star.
In 2015, Carter claimed that musician Chris Brown paid her $2,500 to be his escort. Her claims also included a photo of Brown’s genitals, which ultimately led to her Twitter account being suspended TMZ.
She reportedly tweeted things like “I WILL NEVER F*** A WOMAN BEATER EW DISGUSTING” and “HE IS PURE EVIL” about Brown.
