Kadarius Toney is CUT by Chiefs one day after Kansas City reunited Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce with Super Bowl winner Juju Smith-Schuster

The Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly fired polarizing wide receiver Kadarius Toney ahead of the new NFL season.

Toney, who was traded back to the Chiefs from the New York Giants in 2022, struggled in their Super Bowl-winning 2024 campaign after proving to be a hero the year before.

And according to NFL Network’s Ian RapoportThe 25-year-old player is now being released, just over three years after he originally left for Kansas City as a first-round draft pick.

His departure follows the return of Super Bowl winner Juju Smith-Schuster, who has signed a new contract for the 2024 season.
