K-Pop star Park Bo Ram died of acute alcohol poisoning, an autopsy has revealed.
Last month, the K-Pop singer was found dead at a friend’s house aged just 30, becoming the latest South Korean singer to die young.
According to police, Park had been at her friend’s home in Seoul with two other women when it emerged that she had collapsed and gone into cardiac arrest.
She was rushed to hospital but died about an hour after she was found.
As reported by Korean news broadcast Allkpop showed an autopsy that the singer’s death was due to acute alcohol poisoning, during which she also suffered from fatty liver disease and liver lesions. No other contributing factors to her death have been identified.

According to police, Park was with two other women at her friend’s home in Seoul when it emerged that she had collapsed and gone into cardiac arrest.
According to Allkpop, the Namyangju Police Station filed a report showing that the singer was drinking with her friends.
The report states that she excused herself to go to the toilet at 9.55pm but did not return for some time.
When her two friends checked on her, she was “found unconscious over the sink,” the report said. They performed CPR while waiting for emergency services to arrive at the home, it added.
The singer’s death was first announced by her agency, XANADU Entertainment, in a statement last month.
“We are here to share sad and heartbreaking news. Park Bo Ram died suddenly late at night on April 11,” the statement said.
“All artists and executives at XANADU Entertainment deeply mourn the deceased with great sadness.
“It is even more heartbreaking that we have to tell you this sudden news to all the fans who support Park Bo Ram.
‘The funeral will take place after consultation with the relatives of the relatives. Once again, we extend our deepest condolences to the deceased so that she may rest in peace.”
Park first gained attention by appearing on the audition show ‘Superstar K2’ in 2010, in which singers sing a song to impress three judges and the audience.
Park is said to have been working on a full-length album before her death
Park is not the first young South Korean celebrity to die in recent years
Four years later, in 2014, she debuted with “Beautiful,” which reached 19th place on South Korea’s annual chart that year.
Just ten days before her sudden death, on April 3, Park released a new single titled ‘I Miss You’ and was said to be preparing for a full-length album.
Park is not the first young South Korean celebrity to die in recent years. Last year, 25-year-old singer Moonbin was found dead in his apartment. His death was attributed to suicide.
K-drama actress Park Soo Ryun died in June 2023 at the age of 29. She died after falling down a flight of stairs.
Also last year, South Korean influencer BJ Ahyeong, a K-pop DJ, was found dead and dumped in a well in Cambodia, weeks after quitting her social media career.
