Despite Chelsea needing a striker, Lukaku is not part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans.

Signing Lukaku would not be a popular move with Juventus supporters, who stormed the pitch during a training match earlier this month and chanted: ‘We don’t want Lukaku’.

Chelsea rejected a £26 million offer from Inter Milan for Lukaku earlier this summer and Todd Boehly wants around £40 million.

While there was interest in Al-Hilal’s Lukaku, that deal seems unlikely to materialize now, with Aleksandar Mitrovic leaving for Saudi Arabia from Fulham instead.

Lukaku is back at Chelsea after completing his loan spell at Inter Milan, in which he scored 14 goals in 37 appearances.

The Belgian international did not receive a number from Chelsea prior to this season.

Lukaku still has a three-year contract at Stamford Bridge, but his future appears to lie outside the club.
