Justin Theroux is picture of casual-cool during dog walk with beloved pooch Kuma and female friend

Justin Theroux has long been a self-proclaimed dog lover and advocate over the years.

And on Easter Sunday, the Leftovers star, 51, headed out for one of his daily walks with his beloved Pit Bull, Kuma, and a girlfriend.

Taking advantage of a sunny day, the old leading man made his way through the bustling streets of Manhattan holding on to the leash of his trusty four-legged relative, his friend following closely behind.

As always, the Washington, D.C. native was dressed casual-cool in tattered black jeans and a black jacket over a white T-shirt.

He also wore black combat boots, dark sunglasses and a black trucker hat over his short dark hair, which he eventually swapped for a beanie.

Theroux’s friend smiled and was dressed in black trousers and an orange-red overcoat.

She was also wearing a pair of pink running shoes and her dark brown locks fell well past her shoulders.

Along the way, the trio stopped for breakfast, which was documented with a photo of Kuma looking at a wafer dish with fresh fruit and whipped cream.

Theroux, sitting in a booth to his dog’s left, looked straight at the camera.

Theroux adopted Kuma in 2018 from Texas-based organization A Chance To Bloom Dog Rescue.

The nonprofit rescued her from a fallout shelter not long after she was found among the devastation left by Hurricane Harvey in 2017.

The Washington, D.C. native has regularly donated his time, money, and star power to animal shelters and adoption organizations.

On Saturday, Theroux took to his Instagram page and shared a photo of himself and Kuma hanging out Joker: Folie à Deux director Todd Phillips and Lady Gaga, who co-created Dr. Harleen Quinzel/Harley Quinn stars in the superhero sequel.

“Midnight jokers,” he shared in the caption with the hashtags “#ethanchase #thatsawrap #adoptdontshop,” almost solidifying Theroux’s return as Ethan Chase in the Joker sequel, despite only appearing for a split second in the original popped up.

Speaking of how he scored the cameo in Joker, the actor revealed that Phillips called him on a random day with a conveniently timed offer.

“If I wasn’t free, I wouldn’t have done it, but I was free, so I said, ‘Yeah, I’d love that. That would be super fun.’ What’s wrong with spending a day giggling with Robert De Niro and Todd Phillips?’

His social media post also confirms that the shooting of the Joker sequel has been completed after the start of principal photography on December 10, 2022.

In addition to Phoenix and Gaga, the cast includes Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland and Harry Lawtey.
