Justin Trudeau posted a photo of himself with his daughter as they attended a screening of Oppenheimer just days after he was ridiculed for a photo with his son after seeing Barbie.
The Canadian Prime Minister, 51, posed with Ella-Grace, 14, for an IMAX poster for the thriller in theaters.
He shared the photo on his social media pages on Tuesday evening and said he took stock after watching the Barbie movie with his son Xavier, 15, on Sunday.
Trudeau posted a photo of the couple in pink outfits with the captioned “we are team Barbie” and he was mocked.
The politician announced that he had separated from their mother Sophie Grégoire Trudeau on August 2. The couple were married for more than 18 years and have three children together: Xavier, Ella-Grace and Hadrien, nine.

He shared the photo on his social media pages Tuesday evening and said he was balancing things out after watching the Barbie movie with his son Xavier, 15, on Sunday.

Trudeau wore a long-sleeved black T-shirt, blue jeans and a gray hat for the occasion. While his daughter wore a white zip-up hoodie, an orange top and brown camo joggers.
“Balancing things: ‘Oppenheimer’ with Ella,” he wrote alongside the post.
Users on X mocked Trudeau for asking for privacy after his breakup before posting photos with his family.
“I would like privacy right now, but let me take a selfie first,” one person wrote.

Trudeau was referring to his recent viewing of Barbie with Xavier.

The pair were seen beaming in front of a Barbie poster at the cinema, with the Canadian Prime Minister donning a neon hoodie for their movie night while Xavier donned a fuchsia T-shirt.
The photo’s caption was “We’re Team Barbie,” an obvious reference to the “Barbenheimer” trend, which sees blockbusters Barbie and Oppenheimer go head-to-head at the box office.
But social media users mocked Trudeau for his post on Sunday.
“So glad I’m not Canadian,” British broadcaster Piers Morgan wrote on Twitter.
“The cringe I just cringed,” another user wrote.
“Wait, this man runs a country?” one person noticed.
Barbie stars Margot Robbie as the famous doll and has just crossed the $1 billion mark, making its director, Greta Gerwig, the first solo female director to do so.

Trudeau and Gregoire have split, but the couple has said they will remain a close-knit family and continue to share parental responsibilities.
In a statement released in English and French on Wednesday, Trudeau wrote: “Hello everyone, Sophie and I would like to share that after many meaningful and difficult conversations, we have made the decision to separate.
“As always, we remain a close-knit family with deep love and respect for each other and for all that we have built and will continue to build.
“For the well-being of our children, we ask that you respect our and their privacy. Thank you.’
Trudeau’s office also released a statement to confirm that they have reached a legal agreement and that the couple will remain amicable and will soon be vacationing together with their three children.
Sophie has moved from the family home to another residence in Ottawa, a spokesperson said.
“They have worked to ensure that all legal and ethical steps related to their decision to separate have been taken, and will continue to do so going forward.

Canada’s Globe and Mail reports that the couple will share custody of their three children.
Trudeau stays at Rideau Cottage with the kids, but Sophie has already moved to another property in Ottawa.
She will visit Rideau Cottage to be with the children and will stay there when Trudeau travels.
“They remain a close-knit family and Sophie and the Prime Minister are focused on raising their children in a safe, loving and collaborative environment.
“The family is going on holiday together next week,” a statement read
