Justin Bieber SLAMMED after sharing and then deleting a ‘Praying for Israel’ post which featured photo of destruction in Gaza: ‘Celebs are so out of touch’

Justin Bieber has sparked fierce backlash after posting and then deleting a ‘Pray for Israel’ post that included a photo of the destruction in Gaza.

The post, shared a few days after Hamas’ deadly terror attack on Israeli civilians, was removed from his Instagram stories and replaced with the exact same message without the inaccurate photo.

“Pray for Israel,” he wrote simply, along with a sad emoticon and a green background.

The error did not go unnoticed by many across the internet, who slammed Bieber over the inaccuracy on X, formerly Twitter.

“Celebrities are so out of touch it’s actually embarrassing man,” one Twitter user commented about the mistake.

“Another example of celebrities who know absolutely nothing and repost the first thing they see,” one account posted.

‘Just an embarrassment. If you don’t know what you’re talking about, then don’t talk at all. And didn’t he just say yesterday he wasn’t going to take sides and look what he’s doing now… taking the wrong side while he’s at it too…. Smh,’ wrote another.

‘Giving me “idk what’s going on but I just want to be apart of it” vibes,’ wrote another.

“A simple Google search could have saved him from this embarrassment…” wrote another.

“Instead of rushing to post online, maybe take a few minutes to really figure out what’s going on.” Especially when you have millions of fans,’ wrote another.

“Justin Bieber prays for Israel but shows a picture of Gaza,” wrote another with an emoticon.

‘Justin Bieber posts “Praying for Israel” over a photo of Gaza. You guys can’t even be wrong,’ one tweeted with two crying emojis.

This came after Justin posted a statement about the conflict on his Instagram Stories.

“This is truly painful for both my Israeli and Palestinian friends. I’m pretty sure we all instinctively know evil when we see it. It seems wrong to me to insult all Palestinians or all Israeli people. “I’m not interested in taking sides, but I’m interested in standing with the families that were cruelly taken from us,” he wrote in his Instagram stories.

Hamas, which controls the Palestinian enclave of Gaza, attacked Israel on Saturday in the worst breach of the country’s defenses since Arab armies went to war in 1973. Israel responded with air strikes on Gaza.

Justin is one of many celebrities weighing in on the conflict.

Among them is Gal Gadot, was one of the first Hollywood names to show their support for Israel. On Tuesday, she revealed her grief over Hamas’ attack on Israel that left at least 1,400 Israelis and Palestinians dead. She pledged her support to the victims of terrorists.

The Israeli actress, 38 – who previously said the ‘world should not sit on the fence’ about the war in Israel and Palestine – urged her followers to donate funds for those affected by the weekend’s attacks and people who responded to the atrocities with ‘justification not empathy’ on Tuesday.

Sharing a post that read ‘Israel is under attack and we need your support’, she wrote: ‘Whoever can, and is willing to donate, these people’s lives changed forever yesterday. They have lost so much and need help. Only if you can.’

She later wrote on her stories: ‘Whoever can and wants to donate, these people’s lives changed forever yesterday

‘They have lost so much and need help. Only if you can. If you have less empathy for victims because of how you feel about their government, propaganda is working on you.

‘The purpose of propaganda is to dehumanise. It works to dehumanize Israelis and works to dehumanize Gazans

‘I like to think most of us are above propaganda. But this weekend reminded me how widespread it is. Because many people responded to this violence with justification, not empathy.

‘I guess it’s not surprising, but it’s still heartbreaking. Propaganda is everywhere. It seeps into us over time. It attempts to block our empathy receptors. So when we see violence, we rationalize away our human response

“Killing innocent Palestinians is terrible. Killing innocent Israelis is atrocious. If you don’t feel the same way, I think you should ask yourself why that is.’

On Saturday, she also posted a screenshot of an article detailing how Israeli soldiers and civilians were taken hostage by militants.

She wrote: ‘At least 250 Israelis have been killed and dozens of women children and elders have been held hostage in Gaza by the Palestinian military group Hamas.

“In the early morning more than 3,000 rockets were fired. Hamas holds hostages, controls bases and settlements in Israel. There are more than 1,500 injured and heavy fighting continues. ‘I hear their voices and they knock on the door. I am with my two small children. My heart hurts.’

The former Miss Israel 2004 was one of the first celebrities to support Israel, writing: ‘I stand with Israel, you should too. The world cannot sit on the fence when these terrible acts of terror occur!’
