When Justin Bieber performed at a lavish party earlier this month in preparation for the wedding of the billionaire son of India’s richest man, he looked exhausted, drained and stressed.
Bieber had just boarded a plane straight from LA to Mumbai and performed a lengthy set of his biggest hits as part of Anant Ambani’s lavish, months-long, multi-continental wedding celebration.
A few hours later he was back in California, where he went home to his pregnant wife Hailey.
Bieber reportedly earned $10 million from the performance. But considering the 30-year-old megastar is already worth a comfortable $300 million, the question was asked:
Why had he taken time away from his future wife to perform at such a frivolous event? Did he need the money so badly?
This week, two sources close to Bieber said in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com that the star is becoming increasingly desperate.

“Hailey is a big spender,” a source claimed. “She’s spent tens of millions on private jets to fly around the world, including once getting her nails done by a certain manicurist.”
Additionally, Bieber no longer appears to be the music giant he once was — something both insiders blamed on Hailey.
“He’s isolated from his friends and family. He’s miserable now because Hailey has taken complete control of him. He’s lost his identity, his creative drive and he’s uninspired,” one person claimed.
That description doesn’t come close to describing the confident 12-year-old who first appeared on stage in 2009 and sang his debut single, “One Time.”
Let’s fast forward to today: Bieber hasn’t released a new album since 2021 and hasn’t toured since 2022, after cutting short his “Justice” performances due to a health issue.
When he announced the cancellation of the world tour, he told fans in September 2022 that he was making “health a priority” after a terrifying bout of facial paralysis caused by Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a rare neurological condition.
In January 2023, there was another shock: Bieber announced that he would sell the rights to his entire repertoire of 291 songs.
Music investment firm ‘Hipgnosis Songs Capital’ has reportedly bought Bieber’s life’s work for $200 million. In return, he will no longer receive royalties on the tracks he released or had an interest in before December 31, 2021.
Some Bieber insiders were reportedly surprised by the decision to sell.
Successful musicians usually want to sell their repertoire at the end of their careers so that they can use the windfall to finance their expensive lifestyle and take some time away from the spotlight.
“Justin was advised against selling. Hailey played a role in convincing him to do it,” a source claimed.
In May, the couple renewed their vows in Hawaii, with Hailey announcing her pregnancy and purchasing a new engagement ring with an 18-carat oval diamond, estimated to cost $1.5 million, to go with her original 10-carat ring, which cost $600,000.

Hailey’s influence is said to even be reflected in Bieber’s clothing, which has changed from a polished style to a grungy look in recent years.
“Hailey used to just want Justin to look attractive,” a source said. “Now she likes it when he looks unkempt because she thinks girls won’t be attracted to him.”
When asked to respond to the claims, a spokesperson for the couple declined to comment, calling the allegations “tasteless.”
Hailey’s ability to have more say in her husband’s life may have been necessary.
Bieber has long been open about his battle with addiction.
He started smoking marijuana at age 12, but then moved on to abusing pills and alcohol, even describing drugs as a “numbing agent” that helped him cope with the stress of fame.
“My security would come into my room at night to check my pulse,” he admitted in a 2020 documentary. “People don’t know how bad it got. It was really scary.”
After the couple married in 2018, Bieber appeared to live a quieter life, telling GQ magazine that his relationship with Hailey had given him “someone to love” and a stable home.
“I didn’t have any prospects of that in my life before,” he said.
But cracks soon began to appear in their relationship. The couple have spoken openly about struggles in their first year of marriage, during which Bieber struggled with bouts of severe depression.
Hailey said in a 2021 podcast, “There were days where I was literally like, ‘I don’t know if he’s going to be OK.’ That was the hardest part for me. There are no guarantees.”
But in April, Justin posted a disturbing selfie with tears streaming down his face, sparking heated speculation about marital problems.
Earlier this year, rumors began circulating online that trouble was brewing again at Chez Bieber. This theory was only confirmed when Hailey’s father, actor Stephen Baldwin, sensationally asked the public to “pray” for the couple in a social media post in February.
Hailey tried to quell the rumors and posted a message on Instagram the following month, claiming that all claims of fights are “out of the land of delusion” and “always untrue.”
But in April, things escalated even further when Justin posted a disturbing selfie with tears streaming down his face, sparking intense speculation about an impending split, especially since no clear explanation for the photo has yet been released.
Sure, the Biebers have weathered tough times before. But it remains to be seen whether this latest hurdle will prove too much of a challenge for a marriage that, by their own admission, has been plagued by difficulties.
