Is this proof Justin Bieber had a hair transplant? Top surgeon reveals striking telltale signs troubled singer had the op

Superstar singer Justin Bieber is known for his boyish looks, but cosmetic surgeons think he may have had a little “help” achieving an important part of his youthful appearance these days.

In a new insightful video clip, New York plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Linkov revealed compelling evidence that Bieber, 30, underwent a hair transplant to restore volume to his locks.

Dr. Linkov shows two intriguing images that seem to suggest that the singer’s hairline has miraculously changed in two years.

It would also explain why the star has rarely been photographed without a hat or hoodie over his head in recent years.

In one image, taken during the 2022 Super Bowl in Inglewood, California, Bieber – who is married to model and influencer Hailey Bieber, 27 – is seen with a shaved head, and his hairline appears to be receding and his hair is quite thin.

But in another image, which the star shared earlier this week, his hair is surprisingly full, with a straight and even hairline.

Bieber took to Instagram this week to take to Instagram with what appears to be a fuller hairline. It is now straighter and further forward, which surgeons said suggested a hair transplant

Bieber was caught during the Super Bowl in February 2022 with a hairline flipped on the sides of his scalp. But in a photo he posted last week, this seemed to have disappeared, leaving him with much fuller locks

Surgeon Dr. Gary Linkov said, “When I look at his forehead, [the hairline is now] much flatter, it doesn’t have that recession.

‘And when the hair is wet, you can see the regularity of the hairs [hairline]so it looks like he may have had a transplant.”

Dr. Jim Harris, a plastic surgeon from New York City, added, “There is no drug that can change a receding hairline. I think based on [photos]I would say he probably had hair restoration surgery.”

The experts also highlighted that Bieber often appears in public wearing a hat or hood, which may have obscured the telltale hair growth after a hair transplant procedure.

Dr. Linkov said, “He started wearing all these hats [in 2022] and he covers his hair so it’s hard to tell what was going on.

‘And don’t forget that with hair transplants it can take a year, perhaps a year and a half, before the final result is visible.’

Dr. Harris said: ‘In a photo from 2023, I notice that Justin’s hairline looks flatter.

‘A few years before, in 2018, he had a noticeable recession, a very scalloped frontal hairline. [But] now it lies flatter on his forehead – much more linear.

Surgeons said Bieber likely had a Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) to fill in the lost hair, especially around the upper corners of his face.

In this procedure, doctors take hair follicles from the back of the head and implant them in the front to replace lost hair.

It can be done in a way that covers the scars on the back of the head, making it difficult to tell if someone has undergone the procedure.

Dr. Linkov estimated that Bieber had up to 1,800 follicles transferred, which was on the higher end of the normal range of 500 to 1,500.

Over the past two years, Bieber has been repeatedly pictured wearing hats or with his hood up, concealing any changes in his hairline. Surgeons said a hair transplant can take at least a year to complete. He is pictured at left in November 2022 in Los Angeles and in January 2023 in New York City

Estimates suggest that around 85 percent of men – including Bieber – will experience a form of hair loss known as male pattern baldness during their lifetime.

This is where hair follicles begin to shrink and die at the front of the head or at the crown, often linked to age-related shifts in hormones.

Other celebrities who appear to have undergone similar treatments include 34-year-old singer Machine Gun Kelly and 39-year-old Prince Harry.

Bieber’s hair first showed signs of thinning in 2017, at age 23, when surgeons said they could see signs of the front hairline receding.

They called it androgenic alopecia, or when hair follicles shrink over time due to shifts in hormones that shorten the hair growth cycle.

In 2021, Bieber was pictured with dreadlocks, which surgeons warned could cause traction alopecia – a form of hair loss caused by prolonged tension or pulling on the follicles.

In 2022, he was pictured with a drastically inverted hairline on both sides of the front of his head.

In 2016, there were also reports that Bieber, then 21, suffered from parts of his hair ‘falling out in clumps’ due to his bleached blonde look.

Bieber has previously criticized Prince William for his receding hairline, saying: “I mean, there are things that prevent that these days, like Propecia [a hair loss drug].

“I don’t know why he doesn’t just get those things, those products…don’t you have it here?”
