An Australian tourist has died after jumping from the sixth floor of an airport parking lot in Thailand.
The body of Justin Beasly, 50, was discovered Tuesday evening in a motorcycle parking lot at the Phuket International Airport complex.
Authorities arrived on the scene after a security guard reported the man’s death to local police around 8:30 p.m.
“The deceased was found face down in the airport motorcycle parking lot,” said Suport Muangkhai Police Chief of Sakhu Police Station.
Mr Beasly’s niece (pictured right), Kia Tai O’Connor (pictured left), expressed concern for her uncle’s well-being after he was last seen on Sunday heading for Nanai road in Patong.
Mr Beasly was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, black shorts and a pair of leather shoes at the time of his death.
According to the Bangkok Post, CCTV footage shows the man arriving alone at the airport.
He was then seen walking along a road to the car park before entering the building and taking an elevator to the sixth floor.
Police said the man was shredding banknotes before he fell.
Mr. Beasly had arrived in Thailand on August 24, but left a few days later.
He returned on August 28 and booked a hotel in Patong, a resort on the west coast of Phuket in southern Thailand.

According to police, Mr Beasly did not have a ticket to fly out of the country.
He had previously been in Phuket on April 11 before departing on April 23.
His niece Kia Tai O’Connor reported her uncle missing Monday night after she posted an alert on the Phuket Expats Facebook group.
“Has anyone seen my uncle?” she wrote. “We are concerned about him.”
According to Ms O’Connor, an employee of the hotel where Mr Beasly was staying saw him on his way to Nanai Road in Patong on Sunday.
Police Captain Suporn said officials are investigating the incident.
“Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the Australian’s death and (we) have also been in touch with the Australian Embassy in Thailand to inform his relatives,” he said.
