Fans brand Justin Baldoni’s resurfaced 27-minute proposal video as ‘red flag’ amid Blake Lively lawsuit

Justin Baldoni has once again come under fire from fans after his 27-minute proposal video to his wife Emily resurfaced, as fans have branded it a ‘red flag’ that they overlooked.

It comes just days after the actor’s It Ends With Us co-star Blake Lively filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against him.

The video, which was originally posted on YouTube in 2013, was produced by Justin’s production studio, Wayfarer Studios, and showed the movie star’s elaborate proposal to his now-wife Emily.

In it, he took her to the restaurant where they had their first date and played her a pre-recorded clip showing off his own renditions of a slew of popular songs, complete with flashy costumes and backup dancers.

Amid his recent legal battle, fans have widely discussed the video online, with some calling it a “red flag” and an “unhinged display of narcissism.”

The 27-minute clip began by showing Justin preparing for the proposal at the Blu Jam Cafe in Los Angeles.

He lit candles and placed hidden cameras around the restaurant to capture the moment he took a knee.

He then called Emily and told them to meet at the restaurant where the two had their first date for a “surprise.”

Justin’s legal team has since denied the allegations, claiming the lawsuit was an attempt to save her reputation, which suffered under the press for their film It Ends With Us.

Once she arrived, she was led to a beautifully decorated table.

Justin then played her a pre-recorded video he shot through a TV in the restaurant.

The video showed Justin trying to propose to Emily during a fake appearance at a radio station, but his plans were foiled when the microphone went dead.

He assured the station he would find “something different” before cutting the video of him singing three different songs while his friends danced in the background: NSYNC’s God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You, Boyz II Men’s I’ll Make Love to You, and ABBA’s Dancing Queen.

The clip then cut to Justin performing in a flash mob to Bruno Mars’ hit Marry You, complete with a dramatic fake crime scene, which then turned into a fake movie trailer about the proposal.

The so-called movie teaser featured a sweet montage of photos and videos of Emily during her time spent with Justin.

Just was then filmed outside the restaurant having an emotional moment with his parents, before walking into the cafe in real time to greet Emily in real life.

“I’ve never been happier, I’ve never been sadder, I’ve never been more angry, life has never been more beautiful,” he said.

“You make me a better man, and I was thinking about how I could do this, and I know all you care about is family, and that’s why I wanted my family to be here.”

He even flew in Emily’s mother to be with them for the special moment.

Justin then proposed to Emily and told her he wants to spend his life with her as he got down on one knee.

Of course, she said yes — and the two later married in Corona, California, in July 2013.

Last summer the video of Justin’s proposal was reshared on TikTokwith many labeling it as the ‘best proposal’ they had ever seen at the time – but now many are looking at the video in a different light.

“I just watched the video of Justin Baldoni’s proposal and oh man,” someone wrote on X, along with a meme of someone waving a big, red flag.

“I feel vindicated because I ALWAYS thought Justin Baldoni was vague since he released that hour-long dance mob cringe fest proposal video on YouTube in 2013,” another person typed.

Someone else admitted: ‘I said this when it came out and was told I hate love because I thought it was an unhinged display of narcissism.’

In addition, many are responding to the TikTok fragment of the proposal that was posted this summer.

“This is aging badly,” someone wrote in a recent comment.

Another agreed: “Yes, he was always a red flag.”

“He’s so self-centered,” another user said.

In documents obtained by TMZBlake alleged that Justin created a toxic work environment, showed her nude photos and videos of women, and talked to her about his alleged past porn addiction, among many other alleged incidents.

Justin’s legal team has since denied the allegations, claiming the lawsuit was an attempt to save Blake’s reputation, which suffered from the press for their film It Ends With Us.
