Just Stop Oil eco-zealots blockade key roads in Central, South and West London on 29th day of chaos
>
Tensions flared on the 29th straight day of Just Stop Oil demonstrations in London, with fed up commuters pleading with ‘pathetic’ activists to end the chaos.
Around noon, 61 protesters marched through Charing Cross Road, Kensington High Street, Kennington Road and Blackfriars Road holding banners, blocking traffic in both directions.
Some stuck their hands to the tarmac, while others clung to each other, causing traffic chaos.
At the demonstration in Kennington, frustrated motorists dragged protesters off the road in an attempt to make room for free flow.
“This is fucking pathetic,” said one person as he dragged people aside.
‘I asked you kindly. There are people trying to do their business. For the last time, move.’
Another driver threatened to ‘break someone in their f**king face’ if they didn’t move away from his car.
Every time a protester is forcibly dragged from their position on the street, they rush back to the line as quickly as possible, leading to massive frustration among people who unknowingly get caught up in the chaos.

“Our supporters will return – today, tomorrow and the next day – and the next day after that – and every day until our demand is met: no new oil and gas in the UK.
“We will not be intimidated by changes in the law, we will not be stopped by private orders to silence peaceful people.”
Anna Berrill, 20, a philosophy student from Leeds who took part in the demonstration, said: ‘I am doing this because it breaks my heart to witness the tragedies that are happening and will continue to come because of our actions, and to live in a crumbling world. world and doing nothing is unbearable.’
Grandma of four Helen Redfern, 57, said she is protesting because she believes ‘it’s the only option left’.
“Taking nonviolent direct action seems to be the only option left to me,” she said.
The government does not take the devastating consequences of the climate crisis seriously. I can’t stand by as people around the world are already suffering, knowing that if we don’t act quickly, more and more people will face more and more climate-related disasters now and in the future.”
