Jurgen Klopp was furious with an Amazon presenter, labeling him 'completely ignorant' for making a tongue-in-cheek reference to Liverpool's early kick-off against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Victory over Sheffield United on Wednesday moved Liverpool within two points of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League, but Klopp was in no mood for jokes.

The Reds manager has previously complained about playing the first game of the weekend and took aim at Amazon Prime Sport presenter Marcus Buckland for making 'disgraceful' comments in his post-match interview.

On the Bramall Lane pitch, Klopp was asked: 'You've had to shake your backpack, you've got all these games in Europe and now you're going to Crystal Palace, your favorite weekend kick-off.'

That left the German in line for an incredibly awkward conversation, with him visibly irritated as he sarcastically replied: “That's great, it's really great to make a joke about that.”

Buckland continued to professionally try to smooth over the tense discussion with his questions, adding, “You still have the passion, you still have the fun. It's constant, day in and day out.'

But the Liverpool manager refused to settle and maintained his short-sighted approach, replying: 'Yes, now we're going home, I don't know what time we'll arrive, maybe one or two hours and then we'll play again, maybe we'll have two sessions . Tomorrow and Friday.

“It's okay to recover and then we'll play again. Crystal Palace are playing again tonight, so that's fine. But I realize that you don't understand that very well, even if you work in the football world, so why bother trying to explain it again.

'If you're joking about that, you're completely ignorant. but it's good that football is entertainment. It's okay.'

The presenter – who was joined by former Liverpool player Steve McManaman – then insisted he wasn't trying to be 'disrespectful' and even apologised. Klopp was having none of it.

“It's just one of those issues that comes up and I'm not trying to be disrespectful,” Buckland said.

Klopp interjected: “You already were,” while Buckland then added: “Okay, my apologies Jurgen.”

He continued, “It's good that you can say whatever you want just because I can't say what I want because that would be different.”

The Amazon presenter then wrapped up the interview by wishing Liverpool luck against Palace, with Klopp retaliating, adding: 'Try telling that to Crystal Palace. Thank you very much” before slamming down his microphone and storming off.
