Jurgen Klopp was annoyed when Toulouse fans drowned out his press conference with loud celebrations after he had to hold it in a tent.

The Liverpool manager gave his thoughts on Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat in the Europa League as fans started banging on the tent and chanting.

Klopp and journalists had to fight through the crowd to gain access to the tent on the opposite side of the stadium.

There were no fans inside, but reporters could not hear Klopp over the raucous din.

Klopp stopped halfway through the press conference and said: ‘Who had the idea to hold the press conference here? That will be a very interesting question. Wow.’

He then looked around for fifteen seconds before one of the journalists asked the next question.

The frustrated look on Klopp’s face said it all after a difficult evening for his team, who suffered only their second defeat of the season.

A possible comeback was canceled out when VAR cleared Jarell Quansah’s late equalizer after a handball from Alexis Mac Allister.

Aron Donnum had given the hosts a surprise lead after 36 minutes and in 58 minutes Toulouse were two ahead thanks to a goal from Thijs Dallinga.

Klopp’s men showed fighting spirit and scored an own goal in the 73rd minute through a Cristian Casseres Jr. own goal, before the French team restored their two-goal lead thanks to Frank Magri three minutes later.

Diogo Jota’s goal in the 89th minute gave the Reds a glimmer of hope and they thought they had sealed a point with Quansah’s last-minute strike, but it was cruelly canceled out.

Klopp disagreed with the decision to award a handball – it was well before the goal and he questioned whether the handball had hit his midfielder’s arm.

He said: ‘I’ve only now seen the video again and for me it’s not handball, but how can I determine that? The ball goes to the chest and then I honestly don’t see any contact with the arm.

‘Maybe they had a different photo than me. It was quite a long time ago that we scored the goal and I was thinking, ‘Where’s the free kick?’ I didn’t see it well, but I heard that in a different situation there could have been a penalty for us, I don’t know.
