Jurassic Park fans go wild as Ariana Richards recreates green jelly scene 30 years on

Jurassic Park teen star Ariana Richards has recreated her iconic green jelly scene thirty years later.

The 1993 film celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and 43-year-old Ariana decided to relive the moment when her character Lex Murphy discovers a velociraptor after narrowly escaping an attack.

Fans went wild when Jurassic Park posted the comparison video to their social media, with many saying it made them feel old.

Ariana, now 43, was just 13 when she took on the role of the granddaughter of the park’s owner, John Hammond.

In the scene, Lex and her younger brother Tim think they have escaped a Velociraptor attack as they take refuge in a kitchen where many delicious treats are on display.

Lex is holding a spoonful of jelly when the approaching footsteps of the dinosaurs shake the jelly dessert.

Fans took to the comment section to reminisce about the blockbuster.

One wrote, “That’s the most iconic scene in the Jurassic Park movies,” another added, “You don’t know how old this made me feel.”

Another fan wrote, “So cool to see her reenact that scene. The jello scene is forever etched in my memory.”

Jurassic Park, which ran in theaters for nearly 500 days and grossed a total of $912 million worldwide, captivated audiences around the world and launched the modern blockbuster franchise.

Ariana appeared in The Lost World: Jurassic Park in 1997 before largely retiring from acting.

She currently lives in Oregon where she works as an artist and painter.

Ariana was 13 when Jurassic Park debuted in theaters.

She seemingly still maintains a close relationship with her fellow castmates and still participates in franchise-related events.

She attended the premieres of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in 2018 and Jurassic World: Dominion last year.
