Julie Goodwin has overcome a serious injury and is now ready to compete on Dancing with the Stars.
The 53-year-old MasterChef winner wowed fans on Sunday’s episode with a stunning rendition of the Viennese Waltz.
She also impressed the jury with an impressive score of 27 points, together with dance partner Andrey Gorbunov.
Julie’s triumphant performance on DWTS comes after the crowd favorite tore a calf muscle in two places while rehearsing for the dance competition.
In emotional scenes, Julie’s performance received a standing ovation from the studio audience.
A clearly relieved Julie gave dance partner Andrey a long hug after they completed their elegant waltz.
Fans immediately congratulated the reality star after she overcame her painful injury.

This comes after Julie admitted she was ‘absolutely devastated’ at the thought of having to miss DWTS due to her injury, after doctors warned her about the seriousness of her condition.
“I was in tremendous pain when it happened — I was sweating bullets. It was the kind of pain where you can’t even tell people, ‘I’m OK.’ Because I wasn’t OK, I really wasn’t OK,” she said. women’s Day earlier this month.

“When I got that news from the doctor, I thought, ‘Well, that’s it.’ I just felt devastated,” she added.
The TV chef said she had ‘put everything aside’ and committed to being as fit as possible for the show.
“I don’t give up easily… I’m stubborn. The doctors can tell me what the doctors want to tell me and then I’ll take that into consideration and see if I can prove them wrong,” she told the publication.

Despite the setback, Julie remained optimistic, telling hosts Sonia Kruger and Dr Chris Brown: “It’s going to be OK… it’s going to be OK. Just decorate a moon boot and let’s go.”
Julie will be joined on the 2024 series of Dancing With the Stars by four-time Gold Logie winner Lisa McCune, fashion designer Nadia Bartel and singer Samantha Jade.
SAS Australia’s Ant Middleton, AFL stars Shane Crawford and Ben Cousins and Olympian and former senator Nova Peris also make their mark on the dance floor.
This year’s contestants include comedian Nikki Osborne, Home and Away’s James Stewart, Better Homes and Gardens presenter Adam Dovile and chef Hayden Quinn.
