Julie Chrisley resentenced to seven years in bank fraud and tax evasion case leaving Savanah Chrisley ‘in ruins’

Julie Chrisley’s request for a shorter prison sentence has been denied after a judge ruled she will still have to serve seven years for bank fraud and tax evasion, leaving her daughter Savannah “in ruins.”

A federal judge on Wednesday declined to give the 51-year-old embattled TV star a lighter sentence, saying it “will not change” despite her appeal.

It’s been three months since the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals found that Julie’s initial judgment misjudged her sentence and found no evidence proving her full involvement in the bank fraud.

An insider close to the family has revealed that her eldest daughter Savannah, 27, is devastated by her new conviction and was so confident that her mother would be freed that she had planned a party.

The source added that the rest of the Chrisley family is afraid Savannah is jeopardizing her parents’ business by “talking about it endlessly.”

“Savannah is in ruins,” they said. “She had everything ready for Julie to come home. She was so sure she would be freed.

‘There were decorations, all the food for a big, elaborate, home-cooked meal with all the trimmings and everyone getting ready for a big welcome home.

“This is incomprehensible for Savannah, who did everything she could every moment of every day.”

According to the source, Savannah is furious that Anna Delvey was allowed to appear on Dancing with the Stars with an ankle monitor for “apparently worse crimes.”

They continued: ‘She says it’s a slap in the face. But her rhetoric and non-stop talking doesn’t help the cause at all.

“Family members have told her to take it easy. She is devastated, as are Chase, the children and Nanny Faye.”

Julie wore a navy blue prison uniform when she received her new sentence.

She told the judge: “I apologize for my actions and what has brought me to where I am today.”

She added that serving her prison sentence had been “the most difficult time of my life” and that it had taken a toll on her loved ones.

“I can never repay my children for what they went through, and I’m sorry,” she added.

Julie and her husband Todd, 55, were found guilty in July 2022 of conspiring to defraud local banks of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans.

The Chrisleys were also found guilty of tax evasion by hiding their income while living an extravagant lifestyle. Both are due to be sentenced to prison in January 2023.

Their sentences were reduced in September 2023: Julie was sentenced to five and a half years in the Lexington Federal Medical Center, while Todd was sentenced to 10 years in a federal prison in Pensacola.

Daughter Savannah, who played alongside her imprisoned parents, has spoken openly about the horrific conditions they live in behind bars.

In July, she claimed that the heat in Julie’s Kentucky prison had caused her mother to become “physically ill.”

“Luckily, there is air conditioning in the visiting room,” Savannah said of the alleged conditions at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Lexington.

‘But outside the visiting room there is no air conditioning whatsoever.

‘The temperature was 40-43 degrees Celsius and that’s exactly what mother lives in, in conditions like this, with no air supply.

‘And it can get as hot as 38 degrees in the building.’

Savannah continued, “She literally said she was physically sick because she was so hot.

‘So, you have these women who are suffering from heat exhaustion and they are passing out, and yet there are service dogs that have air conditioning.

“None of this makes sense to me. It’s so inhuman that you can’t make it up. And it’s hard.”

In July, she performed at the Republican Party Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she used the platform to criticize the prosecution and conviction of her parents, saying they were “persecuted” because of their “public image and conservative beliefs.”

She compared the alleged unfair treatment to that of Trump during his much-publicized hush-hush trial of porn star Stormy Daniels, which insiders say was a deliberate move to gain sympathy from the former president, with the “end goal” of him freeing her parents.

Julie and Todd both made their names known with Chrisley Knows Best, which premiered in 2014.

The story follows Todd, a self-made millionaire from Atlanta, and the adventures of his family.

In 2023, the case came to an abrupt end after the couple was convicted following an extensive investigation by the Department of Justice.
