Julie Bishop shows off her VERY expensive sense of style as she rocks outfit worth more than $45,000 at a David Jones exhibition in Sydney

Julie Bishop showed off her expensive sense of style on Tuesday night when she wore an outfit worth more than $45,000.

The 68-year-old former Australian politician pulled out all the stops for a David Jones event at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum, dressing in lavish attire.

Julie looked elegant in a black mini dress with a pleated skirt, embellished with gold buttons and a glittery lining.

The $729 dress was by designer Rebecca Vallance, but it was the most modest part of Julie’s expensive outfit, as she wore a number of much more luxurious accessories.

She added some glitz to her sophisticated outfit with a pair of gold Louis Vuitton earrings, which retail for a staggering $36,910.

The earrings are an indispensable part of Julie’s extensive wardrobe, as she is often spotted wearing this chic piece of jewelry.

Julie also gave herself a few extra inches with a pair of Gianvito Rossi heeled pumps, which cost a whopping $2,090.

The former secretary of state carried her essentials in a black leather Valentino handbag, which cost $3,720.

She proved she was on top of the latest fashion trends as she posed for the cameras in her lavish ensemble, which cost a total of $46,449.

Julie joined the stars at an event to mark the donation of the David Jones archive to the Powerhouse Museum, a partnership to further invest in Australian design.

The exhibition features thousands of objects from David Jones’ 186-year history and marks the start of a three-year partnership between the Australian brand and the museum.

Julie is known for her incredible sense of style and is often spotted at events wearing chic designer clothes and expensive jewelry.

During Australian Fashion Week, Julie also confirmed her status as the country’s ‘Minister of Fashion’, having attended a whopping six shows at the star-studded event.

She has also been changing up her look in recent months, trying out a range of daring hairstyles as a departure from her usual manicured look.

Elsewhere, it was recently revealed that Julie is in a relationship with Perth biker Stephen Gray. The pair have reportedly been together for several months.

Julie shared her first photos with Stephen on Instagram in July 2023, but news of their romance emerged earlier this year.

Little is known about Stephen, but his Facebook profile features a photo of him standing proudly behind a café racer motorcycle, wearing a black leather jacket.

However, the former deputy leader of the Liberal Party was not present as she was in her hometown of Perth.

The couple recently traveled to South Australia for an “amazing outback adventure.”

In a video shared to her Instagram account, Julie put together a montage of footage and clips from their outback holiday and tagged Stephen.

It’s been almost two years since her ex David Panton, 62, dumped her during a dinner in Sydney in July 2022, ending their eight-year relationship.
