Julie Bishop, 67, shows off her toned legs in a pair of tiny shorts after hitting back at criticism over her edgy new look

Julie Bishop has found her ‘angel wings’.

On Sunday, the former Foreign Secretary, 67, attended the Sculptures by the Sea exhibition at Cottesloe Beach in Perth.

She took to Instagram and uploaded a photo of herself aligned in front of a wing sculpture.

She showed off her legs in running shorts paired with a white PE Nation singlet.

She hid her new hairstyle behind a blue cap as she posed for a photo barefoot.

It comes two weeks after Julie clapped back at critics of her new mane.

Earlier this month, Julie posted a photo of herself dining at Chiswick restaurant in Sydney’s Woollahra with two friends.

Looking a complete departure from her usual polished and shiny fringed bob, Julie’s new platinum locks completely cover her forehead after being cut into voluminous ’80s-style bangs.

Unfortunately, several of Julie’s fans weren’t fans of the noticeably different ‘do.

“I’m not so sure about the haircut Julie,” one person wrote.

Julie simply replied with a shrug emoji and didn’t seem bothered by the critical comment.

Another Instagram user went further, writing: ‘Dear Julie Bishop, you always look great but those praising your new haircut are doing you no favors… I apologize in advance BUT the messy look is… well, sloppy! You paid a hairdresser? Hmmm.’

A smart Julie clapped back at the comment, writing: “I like change so I’ll change it again someday!” followed by a laughing face emoji and clapping hands.
