Julianne Moore enjoys night out in New York with son Caleb Freundlich, 25… after release of mysterious teaser for her movie May December

Julianne Moore was spotted this week on a night out on the town in New York with her son Caleb Freundlich, 25.

The Oscar-winning actress and her husband Bart Freundlich, whom she married in 2003, share Caleb and a daughter named Liv, 21.

Caleb and his mom were seen Wednesday night enjoying some happy conversation as they ran through the city that never sleeps.

Sticking to the standard New York black, she put on a T-shirt and pants, and brought an anorak in case the temperature dropped at night.

Meanwhile, her first-born child was casual in California, wearing a short-sleeved yellow shirt and fashionably faded jeans.

Their outing comes a day after the release of a mysterious new trailer for Julianne’s upcoming Netflix movie May December.

May December, directed by Todd Haynes, whose previous work has included the lesbian drama Carol, stars Julianne opposite Natalie Portman.

Natalie plays an actress named Elizabeth, who stars in a movie-within-the-movie about a shocking gossip scandal involving Julianne’s character Gracie.

May December is loosely based on the saga of Mary-Kay Letourneau, the school teacher who went to prison for abusing her 12-year-old student Vili Fualaau.

During the time her trial was unfolding, Mary-Kay fathered two children with Vili and made headlines for giving birth behind bars.

After getting out of prison, Mary-Kay married Vili, and the couple remained together until their divorce in 2019, a year before her death from cancer.

The cryptic new teaser for May December makes fleeting references to the Mary-Kay Letourneau story and features a tabloid headline about a “BABY BORN BEHIND BARS.”

Natalie’s character Elizabeth, presumably preparing to perform as Julianne’s character Gracie, can be heard singing, “My love, I think of you all the time.”

Julianne appeared on stage at Cannes this year to discuss the upcoming movie, but didn’t mention Mary-Kay Letourneau by name.

“The reason this movie feels so dangerous is because people don’t know where someone’s boundaries are,” the Hannibal star noted.

“An age difference is one thing, but a relationship between an adult and a child is quite another,” she added. Indiewire.
