Julian Lennon reveals some of his favorite fine art photos from his travels around the world in stunning new book – from a majestic horse in Uruguay to an enchanting shot of Princess Charlene

Snapshots of Julian Lennon’s epic travels around the world and life experiences have been cataloged in a beautiful new coffee table book.

The avid photographer and singer-songwriter selected 200 photos from more than a decade of experiences around the world to share with his fans.

An exclusive sneak peek of DailyMail.com, the images range from sweeping landscapes to candid portraits in both color and black and white.

Lennon says this is the thread that ties the book together [titled Life’s Fragile Moments and currently available to pre-order]is the vulnerability in the faces of the people and the delicate state of nature in the landscapes and cloudscapes.’

As for his photography style, the Europe-based artist adds, “It’s hard to label your own style… I just try to approach every shot with authenticity and honesty.

Above is a photo from one of Lennon's photo series called 'Calanqués.'  He said: 'I was invited to go on a yacht for a few days, to clear my head, as I had a lot on my mind.  I didn't realize that I was entering another world, the likes of which I had never seen before.  '

“I always want the atmosphere to reflect what I saw at that moment, so that others can experience it in a similar, organic way.”

Although Lennon has been exhibiting and selling his photography for many years, this is his first book on fine art photography.

Uitgeverij teNeues considers it ‘an excellent coffee table book that shows complex, diverse sides of his creative mind’ and a ‘must-have for every collector.’

In addition to images, the book contains ‘moving’ text in which Lennon offers a ‘personal insight into his inspiration’.

Although the photographer says it’s “impossible” to pick a favorite photo, he says he does have “a special place in my heart” for several of them.

Among Lennon’s prized photos include one titled “Hope,” which he took in 2014 during a charity trip with his nonprofit, Witte Veer Foundationto Ethiopia.

A more recent image, beloved by Lennon, shows a “beautiful, majestic” horse he first encountered during his travels to Uruguay this year.

Lennon captured German artist Anselm Kiefer's art exhibition 'Women of Antiquity', which took place at Château La Coste in Provence in 2023.  The book contains many more photos of the beautiful Château La Coste estate.

For the book cover, Lennon selected a candid photo in which he photographs Princess Charlene of Monaco from behind as she looks at herself in the mirror.

The image, titled ‘Charlene Wittstock #14’ and taken in 2011, was one of many Lennon took of the now princess literally 10 minutes before her civil wedding.

After spending months putting together his photo book, Lennon is now looking forward to a music release this summer, “as well as a photo exhibition in Europe, which will be announced very soon.”

He adds, “After that, my main focus will be on completing my upcoming memoir.”
