Julia Morris is ‘deeply sad’ and ‘in denial’ over Dr Chris Brown quitting I’m a Celebrity

After nearly a decade as Australia’s most recognizable TV double act, Julia Morris and Dr. Chris Brown about to break up.

Dr. Chris signs off I’m a Celebrity – which he co-presented with Julia for nine seasons – and leaves Channel Ten altogether to take on a new role on Seven in July.

Speaking about her on-screen partner’s departure, Julia, 55, shared TV week she is “deeply sad” about losing him, and still lives “in a very healthy place called denial.”

However, the comedian insisted that her friendship with the Bondi Vet star, 44, is still strong despite jumping to a rival network.

“Life is life, and we roll with it. Luckily we have a close friendship so it hasn’t rocked the boat,” she said.

Julia also revealed how Dr Chris broke the news to her about his move to Channel Seven.

They were shooting the dance promotion for the new season of I’m a Celebrity when he said, “Hey, can I bend your ear?”

She joked that at first she thought he was going to ask her out, only to reveal that he was leaving the show and Channel Ten.

“I thought, ‘Finally, here we go. He’s going to ask me out.’ There was a step, a turn, a dip and then, well…” she said.

Dr. Chris announced his departure from Ten in February after 15 years with the network.
