Julia Morris spoke in a very telling interview about the failure of her marriage to British comedian Dan Thomas.
The couple split in 2021 after 16 years of marriage.
The I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! host spoke to The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday and admitted that the couple’s split was a tough one, but she also said she doesn’t want to go into detail about the divorce because she wants to protect the privacy of her ex and her two daughters.
Oh look, there’s always more to the story [behind the split]’ she told presenters Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.
“It’s not like people just say, ‘You know what guys, let’s just break up.’
I don’t want to disrespect him [Dan] and his life and above all I don’t want to disrespect my children by opening Pandora’s box.’
She then explained what she meant by Pandora’s box, a term typically used to describe something that causes “bad luck.”

‘[I’ve had ] 75 years in [show] “Business,” she joked, adding, “And anyone you pack up gets packed up somewhere else by the universe.”
Kyle then asked Julia about the details behind the split.
“I know you’re joking and moving on, but I feel there’s bitterness,” the KIIS FM radio star said.
But Julia wasn’t distracted and waved away Kyle’s question.
“It’s been three years,” she said.
“Pretty fresh,” Kyle replied, to which Julia replied, “No, I don’t think it’s fresh at all.”
This happened after Julia shocked her fans by announcing her divorce in May 2022.
She later confirmed that the couple had been heading for a breakup for some time.
“I’ve been known to feel like we’re going to break up every year. But it definitely comes down to the same point, which is we’re not necessarily growing in the same direction,” Julia shared The Australian women’s weekly magazine in July 2023.
In an interview with The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Monday, the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! host indicated that the couple’s split was intense, but said she doesn’t want to go into detail about her divorce because she wants to protect the privacy of her ex and her two daughters.
She explained how she began to see her husband as a “pest” as their relationship became increasingly dysfunctional.
Although Julia described the failure of her marriage as “super sad”, she was determined to set an example for their daughters Ruby, 17, and Sophie, 15, by not resigning herself to an unhappy relationship.
“I think that’s when your patience runs out and you say, ‘I’m not living this way. How can this be an example to my daughters that this is an OK life to live? No thanks,'” she said.
Elsewhere in the interview, Julia talks about how she’s learned to take on the household tasks her husband used to do, including managing her finances.
The TV star has also become increasingly famous on the Internet.
“Now I have to download permission slips from school. And I’ve never worked in an office before – I taught myself all this stuff,” she boasted.
Julia married British comedian Dan on New Year’s Eve 2005.
