Julia Michaels reveals she feels “so much better” after recently having her gallbladder removed
Julia Michaels feels ‘so much better’ after a recent procedure to remove her gallbladder.
On Friday, Michaels, 29, revealed via Instagram that the removal had taken place two weeks ago, as she thanked everyone who sent their support during her recovery.
“Now two weeks without a gallbladder and I finally feel so much better. Thank you and many kisses to everyone who reached out to me,” she posted on her social media profile.
In an instant, Michaels, who split from JP Saxe last year, hit the camera with a playful, kissing face. She wore her raven locks in soft waves and a touch of pink hue on her pout.
The comments section was flooded with supportive comments from fans, relieved to hear the artist was doing well.

“So glad you’re feeling better!” one posted.
“I’m glad you’re feeling better now! Your hair looks beautiful!’ another agreed.
“You’re only getting stronger,” a fan reminded her with two applause emojis.
Michaels received a Grammy nomination in 2018 for her hit single Issues and in 2021 she earned another nod working with Canadian musician and then-boyfriend JP Saxe for their collaboration If the World Was Ending.
Before gaining fame with her own musical releases, Michaels wrote songs for pop stars like Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Shawn Mendes, Gwen Stefani, Fifth Harmony and Hailee Steinfeld.
Last year she divorced JP Saxe after three years together.
Their relationship stemmed from their collaboration on If The World Was Ending. Although they were partly responsible for the song, it was credited to Saxe, with Michaels listed as the featured artist.
The song reached number 27 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, eventually selling over three million copies in the US.

The song’s success continued, and the singers earned a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year, which is awarded specifically to songwriters, rather than the performers, though Michaels and Saxe played dual roles on the track.
The singer-songwriters began their relationship shortly after collaborating on the song, and they were drawn closer as they quarantined together at the start of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Rumors of a breakup were swirling around the couple as they shared dueling posts on social media that seemed to reveal that parting songs were in the works.
