Julia Fox was willing to risk life and limb for her Birkin bag.
On Wednesday, the Uncut Gems star took to TikTok to show off her beloved but battered gray Hermès bag that suffered visible damage during an attack by someone with a machete.
“I love her, but she’s been through a lot,” Fox said of her expensive luxury bag, before taking a close-up look at the various cuts, nicks, and scrapes he’d endured during that attack.

It’s a little hard to see there, but she was actually attacked by a machete,” the actress, who appeared makeup-free, revealed, showing a slice near the corner of the Birkin bag, adding: “I don’t joke – that’s actually what happened to this bag – and to me.’
Turning the bag over to reveal more damage, she continued, “You can see a little bit where the machete slipped and also hit the side of the bag.”
The Hermès Birkin bag is the most coveted luxury handbag in the world. Priced from $8,500 to more than $300,000 in a boutique, it’s also the most expensive bag in fashion history, according to Madison Avenue Couture.

While Fox didn’t share any details about the attack, the Italian-American actress and model did confess, “I don’t know how the hell I managed to hold onto this.”
Then she continued to turn the bag over to highlight the other damage she had taken during the machete attack.
“You know I’ve held this Birkin my whole life,” she admitted at the end of the video.

Fox’s gold-finished leather Birkin has a gold horseshoe stamped on the left side of the Hermès logo, meaning it’s custom made and especially valuable to collectors, according to Page six.
The actress also owns a rare black ostrich-style Birkin bag with rose gold hardware that she got as a birthday present from Kanye West when they were dating earlier this year.
That particular style would be worth about $45,000, while her damaged classic designer bag would be worth just as much.
