‘My First Baby’: Heartbroken Julia Fox reveals that her beloved childhood cat Fernando has passed away
Julia Fox shared the heartbreaking news that her cat, Fernando, passed away on Monday.
While mourning the loss, the Uncut Gems actress, 33, took to her Instagram to share a throwback clip of her two-year-old son, Valentino, sitting on the couch next to the pale orange cat.
In the video, her only child plants a hug on the cat’s head and pretends to feed him with his baby bottle.
From behind the camera, the model can be heard encouraging him to give the cat – who died at the age of 16 – another kiss and Valentino does so softly.
“RIP,” the media personality—who walked the catwalk in a sheer slip dress during Milan Fashion Week—wrote over the clip as her caption. “My dear Fernando.”

“My first baby,” she continued of her cat born in 2007. “Growing up with you was the greatest blessing.
“I love you so much,” she added in her touching note before calling him “truly the best cat in the world.”
In the past, the Down the Drain author kept relatively private about her pets, not posting anything about her cat on social media at all.
However, with this clip, she shared an adorable moment with the pet and her toddler son.
The filmmaker currently has only one child, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Peter Artemiev.
The former couple tied the knot in 2018 before calling it quits and filing for divorce two years later.
Following their breakup, Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend welcomed Valentino on January 17, 2021.
Recently, the brunette bombshell took her kid to Italy to work for Milan Fashion Week.
