Julia Fox claims she’s QUIT mystery project after five years due to director’s allegedly racist opinions

Julia Fox has claimed she left a project she was attached to for five years due to a director’s alleged racist views,

Fox, 34, who recently came out as lesbian, took to TikTok to lash out at the mystery project’s “white male” director (whom she did not name), claiming he didn’t want diversity in the project’s cast.

Kanye West’s ex said, ‘Okay, something really crazy just happened to me.

‘So I was involved in a project for five years. I made creative contributions to it, emotional contributions, it was like my baby.

‘I even invited a really big A-list icon to star alongside me and everything was going great until this white director came along.

Fox, 34, who recently came out as lesbian, took to TikTok to lash out at the mystery project’s “white male” director — whom she did not name — claiming he didn’t want diversity in the project’s cast.

She alleged that the director “tried to kick me off the project. I’ve been there for five years now and he’s been there for a week. I said [to him] that I really thought it was important to have diversity in our lead characters,’ which apparently disappointed him.

“He said, ‘Why? White people have it really hard too. And besides, diversity casting is like using black people as puppets.’ Meanwhile, we’re actors, we’re all f*****g puppets, what are you talking about?’

She claims he said, “White people have no obligation to cast black people because there are so many black and Asian projects and no one gets mad that there are no white people in the cast.”

‘He said, ‘Turn on Netflix, turn on any streamer, they’re all black projects. Go to India, all the films in India have only Indian people, nobody gets mad that they don’t have diversity.’

I said, ‘Honey, white people have been the standard up until now. Let them have their Indian movies.’

She claimed he replied, “What are you talking about? Wake up, it’s 2024—this isn’t 2005 or anything.”

Fox added: ‘It gave Proud Boy, it gave All Lives Matter, it gave white supremacy, and at that point I was done arguing. And I said, ‘You know what, I can’t work with you, I’m done.’

She said she had “grown to love the people involved, the producers, the writers, the other actor involved. I don’t want to blow this whole thing out of proportion for them, but I just can’t believe that in 2024 I’m still having these conversations.”

She did not name the project she was working on.

The star said she “cried herself to sleep” after the alleged conversation.

She received support from her friend Emily Ratajkowski, who said, “I really want you to name names.”

Earlier this month, Fox seemingly came out as a lesbian, stitching together a video of TikTok user @emgwaciedawgie saying, “I love it when I see a lesbian with her boyfriend. It’s like, ‘Aww, you hate that man. You literally hate him.'”

In her response, the Uncut Gems star — who recently spoke out about being celibate — said, “Hey, that was me. I was so lesbian. I’m so sorry, guys. It won’t happen again.”

The original poster wrote in the comments: ‘I just made Julia Fox come out… Ily Queen.’

It’s not the first time the mother of one has talked about her sexuality.

In 2022, during a performance in Ziwe, she revealed that she was considering exploring her “gay bone” and wanted to start dating women.

“Maybe my ex-boyfriends were right when they called me a lesbian and complained that I never wanted to have sex with them,” the Italian-born model said.

The star then noted: ‘[You] can find love in all places and among all races. [men are] just as horrible to be honest — all men. It’s just a guy thing.’

Earlier this year, she announced that she has been celibate for over two and a half years, after previously stating that she and the rapper had not been intimate during their short-lived relationship.

“I just don’t think anything good comes from sex, including children. No, I’m just kidding,” the actress joked during Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in May.

“I think now that Roe v. Wade has been overturned and our rights have been taken away, I can take back control.”

“And it’s just unfortunate that it has to be this way, but I just don’t feel comfortable with it until things change.”
