Jules Robinson has given birth to her second child with her husband Cameron Merchant.

The lovebirds from 2019’s Married At First Sight, who have gone from strength to strength since the series aired, shared their happy news on Instagram on Thursday.

Hairstylist Jules, 42, and cricketer Cam, 40 – who already have three-year-old son Ollie – revealed they welcomed a baby boy on Tuesday, July 23.

Jules also revealed that they named their son Carter James, revealing the poignant meaning behind the adorable nickname in a lengthy caption.

The proud mother said the name Carter “has a spiritual meaning because it embodies leadership, wisdom, responsibility and creativity. It stands for service, ideals and community.”

She added that people with this nickname are “generally” seen as “hardworking, loyal, disciplined and protective, who value security and maintaining close relationships.”

Jules then went on to talk about the many touching references to her son’s middle name, James. James means ‘gift from God’ and is Cam’s middle name.

The nickname is also Cam’s grandfather’s name, it’s her own father’s middle name and is a tribute to Jules’ ‘oldest dear’ friend James Cleland, who has sadly passed away.

Before having her second child, Jules admitted she was worried her battle with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) would return after giving birth.

The entrepreneur first spoke about her experiences with PMDD in October, having previously suffered from the condition three years ago when she had her first child, Oliver.

Jules exclusively told Ny Breaking Australia that her PMDD symptoms completely disappeared after she became pregnant earlier this year, but she still fears the symptoms could return after giving birth.

PMDD is a severe, sometimes debilitating form of premenstrual syndrome. It is characterized by extreme mood swings that can significantly disrupt women’s daily lives and put a strain on relationships.

“It’s a bright spot and a blessing of pregnancy that I no longer have PMDD,” said the reality star, who recently released her debut book Ask Jules.
