The couple met on the set of the movie Shopping. In what was his first major role, Jude was only 19. Sadie was a 25-year-old married mother of one child.

She divorced her husband, Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet, in 1995.
Jude and Sadie subsequently married and had three children. In her 2010 autobiography, Crazy Days, Sadie said: ‘The strength of the love I felt for Jude and his intense ambition left me feeling out of control.’
Sadie belatedly revealed that her struggle with postpartum depression was a contributing factor to her split from the actor.
She wrote in her book: ‘The more I worried about my condition, the more self-obsessed I became and the less attention I paid to Jude.’
Sienna Molenaar 2004 – February 2006
Jude was 30 when he broke up with Sadie. After their divorce in 2003, he met Sienna Miller while filming Alfie, in which he played the titular role.

Their high-profile romance collapsed when it was revealed he was having an affair with their children’s nanny, Daisy Wright.
In his public apology to Sienna, he said: ‘Following the reports in today’s newspapers, I would like to say that I am deeply ashamed and appalled that I have hurt Sienna and the people closest to us.
“I would like to apologize to Sienna and our respective families for the pain I have caused. There is no defense for my actions which I sincerely regret and I ask that you respect our privacy at this very difficult time.”

Daisy was hired by Sadie and Jude in August 2004 as a weekend nanny for their children.

She later revealed that they had begun an affair while he was still dating Sienna and sold her story with many tasteless details – including one of his children walking into their bed.
Daisy later admitted she regretted selling a kiss and telling the star. The story was created by the late disgraced publicist Max Clifford – who was famous for orchestrating kiss-and-tells to make the subject famous.
After the affair came to light, Sienna reportedly told an interviewer: ‘Daisy better live in fear.
‘I look forward to the day when our paths will cross, and I’m sure that will happen. I just hope that woman doesn’t meet me in a dark alley!’

Jude had a brief relationship with model Samantha while he was filming Sherlock Holmes in 2008, and they had already split up when she discovered she was pregnant.

Speaking about Sophia, Samantha said: ‘She has Jude’s chin and nose, and she pouts a bit, which I can tell he’s done before… There are no plans for that [Jude to visit] right now, but I know he’s busy.”
Speaking about their relationship, she said: ‘One night I bumped into Jude at a nightclub.
‘I knew who he was straight away, but he seemed very funny; he joked with people and he included me in it.
‘Before I knew it, I was standing outside on the pavement and being spun around – it was a lot of fun.
‘After that first meeting, Jude and I went out several times. It was a lot of fun hanging out with him, he always made me laugh.”

Singer-songwriter Catherine, who goes by Cat Cavelli, was 23 when she dated Jude, then 41, who was filming on location in the Czech Republic when he bonded with the aspiring musician.

She recently participated in The Voice. Ada was born after a brief romance and they had already separated when they announced the pregnancy.
After the birth she said: ‘She looks a lot like Jude, she doesn’t look like me. Jude is really funny and sweet. I remember him coming over last week and having to change her on the park bench. He cleaned her up completely.
He is a good father and she sees her brothers and sisters. He takes her out all the time.
‘The birth was very painful, I only wanted my mother there, it was a caesarean section, it was really terrible. But he came straight after and was really great.’
