Jude Bellingham was given a one-match suspended ban and a €30,000 fine by UEFA for his controversial gesture against Slovakia.
The ruling means he will be available for England’s crucial Euro 2024 quarter-final against Switzerland on Saturday.
European football’s governing body has launched an investigation into a gesture during Sunday’s victory over Slovakia in Bellingham in which someone pretended to grab his genitals.
UEFA wrote to Bellingham asking him to explain his actions, while the organisation also contacted the Slovak Football Association for their reflections on the alleged offence. It was claimed that the gesture was made towards the Slovak bank.

The star has escaped an immediate suspension and could play for England in the quarter-finals of the European Championship
Bellingham reportedly stood by his claim that the gesture was an “inside joke.”
After the game, when footage of the gesture surfaced, Bellingham tweeted: “An inside joke gesture to some close friends who were at the game. Nothing but respect for how that Slovakia team played tonight.”
Despite this, Bellingham, 21, was given a fine and a 12-month suspended UEFA ban.
