Jude Bellingham picked up where he left off at the end of the season as he gave England an early lead in the opening match of Euro 2024 and he and Trent Alexander-Arnold had clearly prepared a celebration.
Bellingham showed great desire to beat a defender with a cross from Bukayo Saka and fire home his header in the 13th minute.
It was a dream start for Gareth Southgate’s men, who were made favorites going into the tournament.
Bellingham proceeded to perform his signature celebration before waiting for Alexander-Arnold to join him.
The pair then both got down on one knee before covering their faces with one hand.
Alexander-Arnold was the big story in terms of the starting XI, with Gareth Southgate playing as Liverpool’s full-back in midfield.
The Reds star and Bellingham are good friends and can usually be close while on duty in England.
The two Englishmen have been pictured hanging out off the pitch on a number of occasions and were seen practicing a secret handshake during training this week.
