JSW Group shares are falling due to the rape allegations against Chairman Jindal
Shares of three of the five JSW Group companies fell on Monday after media reports claimed that a rape case had been filed against chairman Sajjan Jindal. Shares of the group's flagship JSW Steel fell 1.5 percent, JSW Holdings fell 1.3 percent and Shiva Cement fell 2.4 percent. Meanwhile, JSW Energy rose 0.5 percent and JSW Infrastructure rose 0.1 percent. According to media reports over the weekend, a 30-year-old woman had filed a rape complaint against Jindal at a police station in Mumbai. Jindal has denied the allegations and said he will fully cooperate with the investigation. JSW Group companies have a market capitalization of Rs 3.4 trillion.
