JPMorgan execs ‘met Jeffrey Epstein until 2017’ – despite saying it shut his accounts in 2013

JP Morgan bosses met with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein at his Manhattan townhouse until 2017, despite the bank claiming to have closed his accounts following his 2013 conviction, it is alleged.

The Wall Street giant continued to treat Epstein like a star client after his conviction and despite repeated warnings from his own employees, it would be.

Justin Nelson, one of Epstein’s bankers at JP Morgan, had about six encounters at the pedophile’s Upper East Side mansion between 2014 and 2017, sources said. The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

John Duffy, who ran the company’s private bank, met with Epstein at his property in April 2013, the sources claimed.

A month later, JP Morgan allegedly extended an authorization that allowed Epstein to borrow money despite warnings about his unusual finances.

Mary Erdoes, who is close to the bank’s CEO Jamie Dimon, visited Epstein twice in 2011 and 2013 when Epstein was still a client, it is alleged

And Mary Erdoes, who is close to the bank’s CEO Jamie Dimon, visited Epstein twice in 2011 and 2013 when Epstein was still a client, and later exchanged dozens of emails, sources told the WSJ.

Erdoes has previously said through a JPMorgan spokesperson that the only time she remembered meeting Epstein was the day she fired him as a client. Erdoes declined to comment on the WSJ’s latest accusations.

Nelson also declined to comment, while Duffy, who no longer works at the bank, did not respond to requests for comment from the newspaper.

A spokesman for JPMorgan said interactions with Epstein were normal for a private bank client and that any encounter with him after 2013 involved other banking clients Epstein represented.

The latest allegations come after the Daily Mail unearthed court documents alleging executives at JP Morgan were so familiar with Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse that they laughed that he was out with 16-year-old Miley Cyrus.

The bombshell lawsuit says senior executives at the bank “joked about (Epstein’s) interest in young girls,” including Cyrus in 2008 when she was still starring in the Disney TV series Hannah Montana.

JP Morgan associates were accused of making light of the pedophile’s activities in a case brought against him by the US Virgin Islands government.

The lawsuit also alleges that at least 20 victims were paid through Epstein’s accounts with JP Morgan for more than $1 million.

The lawsuit alleges, “These women were trafficked and abused during various intervals between at least 2003 and July 2019, when Epstein was arrested and imprisoned, and these women received payments, usually multiple payments, between 2003 and 2013 of more than $1 million collectively.”

The USVI’s amended complaint, where Epstein (left) had a private island, says JP Morgan ‘obstructed’ investigations into Epstein and his relationship with the bank

A woman who “bought” Epstein when she was 14 got $600,000, the documents claim.

The USVI government sued JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank in December, accusing the banks of turning a blind eye to Epstein’s sex trafficking of underage girls despite numerous red flags.

Both banks deny wrongdoing.

The USVI’s amended complaint, where Epstein had a private island, says JP Morgan “obstructed” investigations into Epstein and his relationship with the bank.

Executives emailed internally about his abuse during their relationship with him, which ran from 1998 to 2013, including after he served 15 months in 2008 for soliciting an underage girl for sex.

Among them was Erdoes.

The lawsuit parallels a similar claim from a woman named Jane Doe 1 who has made numerous allegations against Jes Staley, the former boss of JP Morgan.

Court documents alleged that between 2008 and 2012, Staley exchanged approximately 1,200 emails with Epstein from his JP Morgan email account.

The banker allegedly visited Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean while the pedophile was in jail for having sex with underage girls.

Staley is accused of making suggestive references to Disney characters in the emails, including one from 2010 where he says, “Say hello to Snow White.”

Staley’s lawyers have denied wrongdoing and denied that he used code words with Epstein.

In a motion to deny, JP Morgan called the USVI’s complaint “a masterclass in diversion attempting to hold (JP Morgan) accountable for failing to track down Epstein’s crimes more than a decade ago.”
