JP Morgan boss claims he ‘regrets’ bank’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein
JP Morgan boss Jamie Dimon claims he ‘regrets’ bank’s ties to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein
JP Morgan Chase’s boss has said he regrets his bank’s ties to disgraced financier and pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
“I’m so sad that we had any relationship with that man,” Jamie Dimon told Bloomberg TV.
He said the bank would have done things “differently” if it had known about Epstein’s behavior.
JP Morgan is being charged for his ties to Epstein, a client from 1998 to 2013. The bank is accused of knowingly profiting from his sex trafficking business.

Dimon said he had “deep respect” for the women harmed by Epstein, but that didn’t mean JP Morgan was liable for his client’s actions.
Former Barclays boss Jes Staley is also in the spotlight. Staley was a senior executive at JP Morgan before joining Barclays and Epstein was his client.
According to court documents, Staley was allegedly aware of Epstein’s sex trafficking operations.
Staley’s legal team has described allegations about his connection to Epstein as “defamatory” and “baseless.”
He stepped down as boss of Barclays in 2021 following an investigation by regulators into his relationship with Epstein.
