Workout Time: Fans laughed at the exercise segment that saw personal trainer and author Shakira Akabusi discuss new research that claims exercising in the morning is better than exercising at night.
Shakira says: ‘We all have a time of day when we prefer to exercise.
“Some people prefer mornings and evenings. I think the morning is great because our bodies have had a chance to recover, rest and recharge, and naturally we have more energy in the mornings for exercise.”
He went on to explain that the idea that metabolism slows down as people age has been found to not be exactly true, and that it remains constant until around age 60.
Shakira added: “We reduce the amount of lean muscle mass that we have.”
The trio then began their workout by holding on to the resistance bands and stepping back on their mats to do some lunges.
Josie was still in her black high-heeled shoes, which looked beautiful with her red and black snakeskin dress, but made it difficult for her to keep her balance as she crouched with each thrust.
Dermot was dressed more appropriately than his co-anchor, in his long-sleeved khaki green polo shirt, black slacks, and black leather flats.
Josie removed her high heels at one point so she could get caught up in the segment.
