How I Met Your Mother star Josh Radnor ties the knot! Actor, 49, marries Jordana Jacobs during ‘snowy bliss-filled’ wedding

Josh Radnor officially married his fiancée Jordana Jacobs in a romantic ceremony held amid a “light snowstorm” and shared Instagram snaps of the nuptials on Friday.

The Hollywood actor, 49 – who is known for his role as Ted Mosby in the hit series How I Met Your Mother – first crossed paths with his current wife in February 2022 during a sound meditation retreat.

The star took to social media to reveal the happy news, excitedly writing to his fans and followers: “I’m married!”

‘Two weeks ago. In a *light* snowstorm. It was an incredible, overwhelming, snow-filled weekend,” he further added.

“I’m so grateful to so many people I love who made the trip to @sistersofcedarlake to be with us,” Radnor wrote, referring to the scenic location where the wedding took place.

The Cedar Lake Estate is owned by sisters Stephanie and Lisa Karvellas and is located in New York’s Hudson Valley.

Josh continued, “To @forgedinthenorth for the extraordinary photos. But especially to Jordana.’

“I cannot believe my great fortune to be able to call this special woman my wife,” he concluded affectionately to his bride.

In the first photo uploaded to the Instagram carousel, the couple was seen sharing a romantic kiss as snow fell around them.

Above them, an assortment of lights were hung on what appeared to be an outdoor alcove that helped illuminate the space.

There were several plants on either side of the lovebirds and the two were dressed to impress at the winter-themed wedding held earlier this month to kick off 2024.

Radnor opted for dark brown trousers and a matching jacket. He also wore a white shirt underneath and a black tie to complete his look for the big day.

In some images, the Fleishman Is In Trouble star wore a brown overcoat to keep him warm in the cold temperatures.

Jordana – a psychologist in New York – was a beautiful bride, wearing an elegant white off-the-shoulder dress with sheer sleeves and a train that flowed behind her.

Her long, dark brown locks fell effortlessly in light curls past her shoulders. During the wedding, a veil was placed on the back of her head and fell to the ground.

In other photos, a semi-sheer white cape was draped over her shoulders – perfect for the snowy landscape.

Radnor and Jacobs also paused for a few solo photos to show off their pre-wedding looks, but also embraced the winter weather.

In one photo, the couple stood close together as they looked sweetly into each other’s eyes as they stood in an open, snow-covered field.

In the distance, hills full of bare trees were lightly covered by the falling snow.

Another adorable photo was captured as the newlyweds shared a loving kiss while standing outside in the evening. His arms circled gently around Jordana as they balanced on a pile of freshly fallen snow.

The two also flashed cheerful smiles as they stood in front of a bridge lined with large stones.

Social media users flocked to the comments section to send their excitement and congratulations to the happy couple, with some also making references to How I Met Your Mother.

One fan wrote: ‘You finally found her!!’ while another added: ‘This wedding is going to be Legend…wait for it…’

A follower wrote: “Please tell us how you met her,” and an Instagram user also wrote: “He found his Tracy.”

“I have to ask, did she have a yellow umbrella?” a fan also typed in the comments. In the series, Josh’s character Ted Mosby falls in love with Tracy McConnell – played by Cristin Milioti.

According to the new york times, both Josh and Jordana wrote their own vows for the wedding.

In Radnor’s vows he said to his bride, “I look into the infinity of your green eyes, I know that the fact that I was not married until now was not due to some brokenness in me.”

He then continued with, “The truth is, I only got married until now because I was waiting for you.”

Josh also told the outlet that both he and Jordana continued to communicate after first meeting at a retreat in February 2022.

“We were in constant contact, sharing things we’d written and things we’d created. Thoughts, feelings, insights.’

Late last year, in November 2023, the actor announced he was engaged to Jordana during a tour stop in New York while promoting his album Eulogy: Volume 1. People.

While on stage after his performance of the song Brooklyn Girl, he explained that he wrote the song after meeting his fiancée at his friend’s “psychedelic” event.

Josh – who recently starred in drama series Hunters – then revealed to the sold-out audience: ‘In an unexpected twist, we’re getting married.’
