ACT Police confirmed the allegations in a statement to Daily Mail Australia.

β€œOn Monday, September 16, 2024 at approximately 3:10 a.m., police responded to a report from a licensed facility of two males acting aggressively, smashing glasses and refusing to leave,” the statement said.

A third member of the group escorted the two men back outside, and they left the location a short time later.

“The investigation into this matter is ongoing, but no charges have been filed at this time.”

Canberra just missed out on reaching the finals this season, finishing ninth.

Papali’i, 32, has made 305 appearances for the club since making his debut in 2011. He has one year left on his current contract.

He is one of the most respected strikers in football, having played 23 times for Queensland and 11 times for Australia during his career.

In 2017, he was arrested by police under strange circumstances after he called the police to report that he was driving under the influence of alcohol.

Papalii called three times to report that he was driving drunk and on the wrong side of the road ‘to make a point’ after leaving the engagement party of his then teammate and captain Jarrod Croker.

Papali’i was fined $1,000 and given an eight-month driving ban for the bizarre Jan. 15 incident in which he blew a 0.123 on a breathalyzer test.

In July, Papali’i’s wife Masepa was banned from football for 10 years after being involved in a brawl at a women’s match.

The Canberra Region Rugby League has handed her a heavy suspension after she was caught on the field during a heated clash between West Belconnen Warriors and the Bungendore Kangaroos earlier this month.

Footage of the incident, captured during the Katrina Fanning Shield livestream last weekend, surfaced on social media and showed a violent brawl.
