Josh Duhamel and his much younger wife Audra Mari revealed the happy news on Tuesday that they had welcomed their first child together.
The 51-year-old Shotgun Wedding star and the model – who at 30 is 20 years his junior – shared a sweet black and white photo of their new son’s feet on Instagram to share the news.
Keeping details minimal, they revealed in the caption that the baby boy was named Shepherd Lawrence Duhamel and was born on January 11 this year.
This is the first child for Audra and the second for Josh, who already shares 10-year-old son Axl with his ex-wife Fergie, 48, of the Black Eyed Peas.
The actor revealed in September 2023 that he and his second wife were expecting their first child.

Audra shared another sweet photo of the baby boy on her Instagram Stories.
The black and white image appeared to show him wearing a checked cardigan with his hand resting on his stomach.
Shortly after announcing they were expecting their first child, Josh opened up about his son Axl’s reaction to the news he would be having a new brother.
‘He’s excited about it, but he just has a lot of questions. He says, “Wait, am I going to… You’re still going to love me, right?” Duhamel revealed Procession.
‘I thought, “Of course I’ll still love you.” And he says, “I’m still your firstborn son, right?” I said, ‘Yes, you’re still the firstborn son!'” he continued, laughing.
“He says, ‘Can I teach him everything I know?’ Yes, please, I want you to teach him everything… well, almost everything you know,” Duhamel joked.
He said that Axl “loves babies,” noting that he was “the same way at his age.”
“I’ve just always loved babies,” he admitted. ‘There’s something about them. And he is very good with younger children. So I think he’s going to be a great older brother.”
Josh and Audra began their relationship in late 2018 and he announced his engagement to her in January 2022.
They married on September 10 of that year, and just a year and a day later they revealed they were expecting their first child together.

Josh and Audra began their relationship in late 2018, and he announced his engagement to her in January 2022 before getting married on September 10 of that year.
In a joint Instagram post, they wrote: “Baby Duhamel is coming,” along with an ultrasound of the fetus.
Josh’s ex Fergie made it clear she was on good terms with them, saying: “I’m really happy for you guys,” while adding a laughing heart emoji.
“Axl can’t wait to be a big brother,” she added to her comment, which received thousands of likes.
Shortly after the announcement, Josh addressed his ex’s sweet comment The Jess Cagle Show.
After Cagle said it was refreshing to see “exes with children supporting each other and acting like adults, which struck me as odd because you don’t see that very often.”
Josh replied, “Fergie is an amazing woman. She really is. And she admitted Audra, you know, and it could have been a lot worse.
“That’s the thing, you never know how these things are going to go, but because she’s such a kind-hearted person, she really is,” he added.
“She has nothing but love for Audra and is excited too. I can’t believe how excited she is for us. You know, it’s, like I said, it could have been a lot worse, and I’ve seen it. I lived it. And fortunately we have a very civil situation,” he said.
Josh and Fergie had been together for years. They started dating in 2004 and got engaged in 2007 before marrying two years later.
The entertainer couple welcomed Axl in 2013. They subsequently split in 2017, but did not file for divorce until 2019, which was finalized later in the year.
After he started dating Audra, Josh appeared at Dax Shepard’s in December 2018 Armchair expert podcast in which he indicated that he did not want to stay with one child.
‘I’m not thirty years old anymore. I am 45. I want to have more children in the coming years,” he stated.
A year and a day later, they announced Audra’s pregnancy with a fetal ultrasound, with the caption: “Baby Duhamel is coming.” Josh’s ex Fergie even congratulated them

‘Fergie is a wonderful woman. She really is. And she admitted Audra, you know, and it could have been a lot worse,” Josh said. He was married to Fergie from 2009 to 2019
‘It’s more about finding someone young enough to have children. It’s not like I’m just trying to fuck something there. That’s not who I am,” he said. “I’m trying to find a girl I can be with and have a family with.”
When Josh and Audra decided to choose Shepherd Lawrence as the name for their son, they unfortunately had to reject Axl’s very helpful baby name suggestion.
“He and Audra have this thing where they like to say the word ‘Gary.’ It’s weird,” Josh said ANDand admitted he wasn’t crazy about the name
“We’ll get a dog and name the dog Gary,” he joked.
