Josh Dobbs’ whirlwind start in Minnesota continued on Sunday as the quarterback delivered an insane touchdown battle against the Saints.
Dobbs, who was traded to the Vikings on Oct. 31 after Kirk Cousins’ season-ending Achilles injury, made a stunning comeback last weekend despite barely knowing his teammates or the playbook.
And that momentum continued against New Orleans when he put up an impressive seven-yard touchdown in the second quarter.
On third-and-6, Dobbs dodged a sack before turning the corner into the end zone and giving his team a two-possession lead.
Just minutes later, he threw a 28-yard touchdown to TJ Hockenson.

Dobbs wasn’t even the starter last weekend after arriving in Minnesota a few days earlier, with rookie Jaren Hall getting the nod.
But the former Cardinals pass rusher was called into action in the first half when Hall was ruled out with a concussion.
From there, the 28-year-old wasted little time winning over his new teammates as the Vikings improved to 5-4.
Nicknamed “the Passtronaut” because of his degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Tennessee, Dobbs is capturing the hearts of NFL fans everywhere.
And if he keeps up his strong play, he might also be able to win the Vikings’ quarterback job for good.
