Jose Mourinho FUMES at Anthony Taylor for ref’s ‘bull****’ display

Furious Jose Mourinho waits to tell Anthony Taylor he is a ‘damned disgrace’ as he leaves the stadium after calling England referee’s Europa League final ‘bulls***’ and claims he ‘looked Spanish’ in Roma’s defeat to Sevilla

Jose Mourinho has slammed England referee Anthony Taylor for ‘appearing Spanish’ after his Roma side were defeated by Sevilla on penalties in the Europa League final in Budapest.

The Spanish side achieved a record-breaking seventh Europa League title win by winning 4-1 in the shoot-out, following a 1-1 draw after extra time.

Taylor was shown several yellow cards throughout the game as both benches regularly protested decisions in a bad-tempered final.

Mourinho, who was shown a yellow card in the closing minutes of extra time, hit out at Taylor’s performance in the final.

“I want to stay with Roma,” said Mourinho Sky Sports Italy. “But my players earn more and I earn more.

“I’m a bit tired of being a coach, a man of communication, the face of the club saying we’ve been robbed after every game. I’m tired of acting on all fronts.

“We’re not playing the Champions League next year and that’s a good thing, because we’re not made for it.

“And let’s hope Taylor only leads games in the Champions League and does the same bull**** as tonight, and not in the Europa League.”

Mourinho added to the comments by claiming his former Tottenham player Erik Lamela should have been sent to Sevilla in the closing stages of the game.

Lamela avoided a second yellow card for an injury time offense at the end of extra time.

“It was an intense, lively game with a referee who seemed Spanish,” said Mourinho.

“It was yellow, yellow, yellow all the time.

“The injustice is evident from the fact that Lamela should have received a second yellow card, but he didn’t and took a penalty kick in the shoot-out.”

Mourinho remained coy about his Roma future amid suggestions he could decide to leave

Seven Roma players were booked in the final, a record in the Europa League’s showpiece, with six members of Sevilla also receiving yellow cards.

Taylor had also shown members of the Roma bench yellow cards during the match, including Mourinho.

The 60-year-old has been sent off three times in the Serie A season, while he will also miss Roma’s last game of the season due to five bookings in the league.

Mourinho said he was yet to make a decision about his future at Roma amid suggestions he could leave after his second season at the club.

‘I’m going on vacation on Monday. If we have time to talk about it before Monday, we will,” Mourinho said.

‘If not, I’ll go on vacation and then we’ll see. I have to fight for these guys and not say objectively that I will stay.

‘I am a serious man. I told the owners a few months ago that if I had any contact with other clubs they would be the first to know. I would always be honest and direct.

“I spoke to the club in December when I got that approach from the Portuguese national team.

‘I haven’t had any contact with anyone else since then. I still have one year contract and this is the situation.’
