Jose Mourinho has posted a cryptic message on social media after reports claimed he had signed a two-year contract to become Fenerbahce’s new manager.

The Special One will return to management this summer, five months after his sacking from Roma, with rumors suggesting he will replace Ismail Kartal in Turkey.

Mourinho, 61, is expected to take on the role after Fenerbahce finished second in the Turkish Super Lig for the third year in a row last season.

Previous reports claimed Mourinho was a target for Saudi outfit Al Qadsiah, but he is now set to take his first job in Turkey instead.

Before the official announcement, Mourinho released a clear career update.

He shared an image of suitcases, a pair of sneakers and a toiletry bag via his Instagram stories. A raised eyebrow emoji accompanied the photo.

While the photo may have been a teasing nod to his next challenge, it’s more likely Mourinho was hinting at his upcoming trip to London.

Mourinho will be part of TNT Sports’ coverage of the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund at Wembley tomorrow.

Two-time competition winner Mourinho will provide expert analysis alongside a team that also includes Rio Ferdinand and Owen Hargreaves.

Fenerbahce finished second despite amassing 99 points last season, ending the season an agonizing three-point deficit to their bitter rivals Galatasaray.

However, it is also claimed that Mourinho has asked for a special clause in his contract that would allow him to leave for free if a certain job opportunity arises.

According to Calcio Mercato, Mourinho would be keen to leave for free if given the chance to manage the Portuguese national team.

He had turned down the opportunity when he was in charge of Roma.

Despite his storied managerial career at club level, Mourinho has never coached a national team before, despite several tempting offers being submitted.
